My new '04 4Runner

Well, trying to down grade to get back into a house sooner and not getting paid as much now a days. Always wanted a 4x4 pickup or 4Runner. Almost bout my brother-in-law's '01 4x4 sport but he couldn't make a deal in time for the new '12 G37. I've owned many cars(~12) and have never kept one stock. My last one was very very hard to let go, but sold within days of putting it online. My old '05 Lexus LS430:

Nice! Looks like it may already have a small (0.5" spacers?) lift, and some rims!

I don't think so, maybe the wheels are giving it the lifted look? Thanks though....lol :)

Looking to lift and maybe other wheels soon. Already did some basic lighting updates since I bought it Friday.

That LS is gorgeous and you can get that model generation for a steal now. May I ask why you didn't opt for the V8? You knew the refinement of Japanese V8's coming from the LS.

No this is not supposed to turn into an engine debate thread.

The rims aren't my cup of tea - on the 4R that is.

I want the G37 :guitar2:

Have you ever driven one? They drive-train is awful IMO. However, for the money and that's assuming you lease because if you buy an Infiniti your a fool - there is no better car on the road. They had $299/mo leases on G37 coupes for a bit.

I just bought a white 04 damn near identical to yours, except on factory wheels.

I'm loving it and dropping in to say hey as well!

Looks nice and clean congrats!!!

thanks!

Nice 4Runner (and nice LS), looking forward to see how it turns out.

thank you, I prob won't do a ton to this since I am trying to save money....but we all know how that goes. lol I actually just picked up the Scion T1809 headunit so I can connect my iphone to the truck. I already miss that with my car. Had JL clean sweep/screen switch/ipod adapter and all JL speakers in that. :/

Thanks, I miss it a ton already. Put alot of money into it. As far the V8 goes, it was hard enough finding a decent 4wd 4Runner. I'm happy with it though. The maint history on this truck is awesome too. Literally at Toyota every 3-4k miles and everything documented. The rims actually look much better in person, but I am looking for another set. I don't think shiney 20s should really be on a 4wd truck. lol

woo hoo! Hey there! Got the gray leather too?!?

No leather, but I've got a sunroof. 3 days in, and I've pasti-dipped the wheels, de-badged it, and ordered an intake and the daystar kit.

Little update....My toyotec 3" spacer lift just came in, got some 17" Mojave wheels last week and the 285/70s came in today as well. Hopefully, this will all be on shortly with a few other little things.

Congrats on the lift/wheels and tires! Can't wait to see the pics.

I got a Lexus Tech buddy that will prob do everything next Sat for me. Lift(b/c I'm too lazy), mount the tires to the wheels and alignment for cheap.

Complete polar opposite of what you came from. How do you like it so far?

Yeah, it really is. I miss the Lexus alot, but I've always wanted a 4Runner or toyota pickup. Plus I was able to put the 10K difference into paying some things off.

Hey ghser7!

Welcome to the world of T4R :)

I also left a Lexus (97 LS400) to get into an 03 Limited V8 4WD.

While I do miss some of the refinement of my old LS, my Runner wins hands down with its full-time 4WD - especially handy come the snowy winter (when the old LS would be spinning its rear wheels).

Enjoy the ride!

well... my '05 LS430 had no problem in the snow with the high perf 20s. I was very surprised how well it did actually. I hope my 4Runner performs as well.

Damn... You're on this forum too?

Glad to see everything is going good. Met you when you were still in Jax. Used to have a black sc430.

Nice work on the 4runner.
