My new 22's

I know what all you guys are saying, and like I said when I first posted the pictures, I know not everyone is a fan of the big rims. Everyone has their style. I actually really like big lifted vehicles and I love to go off-roading, but I am never going to go in my 4runner, so I might as well make it look good for the street.

Besides, I think we can all agree on one thing, there are worse things in life, like driving a jeep cherokee or an explorer!:D

At least its a 4runner!!

Ya know RunnerUp, I never even noticed you have an ARB bumber on the front. It just looks so natural on your 4Runner that I really never saw it. Your 4Runner is definately one of the meanest. Very nice man!

TD21: 22's are really big . I know a guy that has the 22's on his Denali but that's a little bigger then the 4Runner. It's your truck man, do what you like. I'm not going to lie and say I love it but I don't hate it either. I like the fact that you did something different. To each their own. Do what YOU like! Although, if it was a 4wd model I'd have to make fun of it at least a little.

Just kidding!

Razor,

I am still anxious to see pictures of your 22's, you don't have to get the runner all pretty for me:)

I think they look totally out of place on a 4R. I can certainly appreciate the amount of money you put into them, and I'm glad you like the look, but I'm not a huge fan of big rims on a truck, especially chrome ones. Whenever I see an older generation version of just about any vehicle with ricey mods, it almost looks sad -- as if the person can't let go of the fact that the vehicle is older now, but they're still trying to make it look up to date by adding the rice mods. There is a lot of work that goes into designing these vehicles, and they choose the wheels and other stuff for a reason. I think an older vehicle is far more respectable when it is stock.

couldnt have said it better myself!

bravo! :artist:

BenSD,

Rice Mods? Is that a bad Asian joke or bad spelling?

You think it is sad for someone to put mods on an older vehicle, well I think it is sad for someone who clearly doesn't like big rims to open up a thread that says "my new 22's" and go out of his way to look at something that he will most likely hate and comment on how bad it looks. As for putting mods on an older truck, you not only insulted me, but you insulted everyone else on this board that doesn't have a 4th generation that added something to their runner that is not stock. Have a nice day!

Geez,
I didn't mean to scare everybody off; nobody has posted in a while. I have a question, how do you guys (those that like my truck) think that it will look without the runningboards? I have been thinking about possibly taking them off when I lower it.

Hmm,there's plenty of older muscle cars that benefit from not being stock and my '93 Eclipse wasn't too respectable with only 200hp stock but when I nearly doubled that figure and showed my tail lights to a Viper at the strip it surely was WAYYYY more respectable. Ok,maybe you meant looks which my Eclipse only had nicer wheels and clear corners for exterior mods and the tip off was it's big single 3" exhaust tucked under the back.

here's my 22s with Pirelli Scorpion Zero 265/35

hope y'all like it too..here's my other ride too..

Any one have 22s on 2014 or newer Limiteds? I'm stuck between 20" and 22" wheels, but definitely leaning towards the 22. I hate the ride on stock 20x7s and my tires will never touch dirt. I figured I may as well get something that'll handle better.
