My next vehicle?

I know it's not on the list but I have personally been looking for a good clean '97 toyota landcruiser, it was the 40th anniversary edition solid axle front end and lockers, it's a beast and has been built into expedition vehicles plenty of times! with the leather interior 3rd row seats and everything that you can upgrade to make more modern it's the perfect vehicle in my opinion to use for DD and weekend warrior.

I was going to suggest a first gem tundra as well... Although you don't have the use for a truck. It kind of depends on what you will be using your new ride for. It's a preference thing...

x2 On those, forgot about them. Wish they could make LC's like that again.

Maybe the GX470 could be in your range. Nissan Patrol's would be awesome as well, too bad their not sold in the US, they're the closest things to 80 series nowadays with F/R solid axles and fancy interiors and all that other jazz.

I had a first gen taco 4x4 and absolutely hated it. The thing was bone-jarring over bumps. Always felt like I was gonna fly off the road when cornering and hitting a bump (stock suspension). It was stick as well and was a pain in the @** to get into gear, especially 1st. The difference between a 3rd gen runner and 1st taco is not even comparable.

what are your plans for the vehicle? Do you plan to modify it pretty heavily or if just as a DD?

I like it. If you need more room than a T4R, then I would think a Sequoia would work well.

If you choose not to go with another 3rd gen 4Runner, the 2nd gen Taco's are where it's at.

The 2nd gens just look so damn good and it is a very comfortable truck to drive as a DD. The TRD Sport seats are, in my opinion, the most comfortable truck seats I have ever sat in. Compared to the competition nowadays, the Taco wins hands down.
