It's a Toyota produced skid plate. I assume something to similar to what the old 4r and the FJ and Tacoma have. Nice to have to prevent a rock or high vegetation messing with my radiator etc.

Are you sure they are not talking about the fuel tank skid plate? A full coverage gas tank skid plate is supposed to come standard on the Trail Ed's and the SR5's and Limited only get a half coverage fuel tank skid plate. I hav'nt heard of a skid plate option or accessary yet.

My understanding is its something like the front skid plate listed here. I'd have to check with the dealer for sure.
