My Rusty Runner

You shoulda seen mine with 33- 40 pound bags of topsoil, 8- 2.0 cubic foot bags of mulch plus a bunch of other crap and two people.
Why yes it was 3/4 of a ton in my 4Runner.
:jaw drop:
Drove pretty well, too, all things considered.

NO WAY!! dont sell that stuff to that Paint sniffing TEEN!! cuz until hes 18 he could get high off the fumes!!

once hes 18 then its ok!!

:nono:

So sad that a kid like John cant even fulfill his lifelong dream of painting his hub cap centers!!! all because some bureaucrat in Washington cant get control of real drugs...

So who suffers here?!?! the Children!! :lightsaber:

I think it's more to control the grafiti that is done by gangs with spray paints, as a lot of gangs are populated with young teens...........I say, beat down the kid who's spray painting your property! Problem solved, and all the non-criminal teens can paint their hubcaps!

paint huffing is a problem and is treated like drugs and they are taking precautions to prevent underage kids the availability to obtain it just like we have laws for ciggies and beer but once you are considered an adult you can make a choice wise or unwise to use dangerous substances and can't sue beer or paint companies when you choose something that screws you up. Parents suing paint companies for their kids bad choices forced those beaurecrats in Washington to do this to protect companies.

This means i should get a compensation check from the government for $50 because my center caps make the vehicle look aged and cause a $50 drop in value then....didnt think so.

hahahahaha i love the snow.. but is there? or no.. it right below the window where that black rubber liner is..

The rust needs to be cut out and replaced with new metal if it goes all the way through. If its surface then it can be sanded down in 1 section, primered and repainted for very cheap.

I just had my rocker panels rebuilt by hand with all new thicker metal from an American car door. Don't let rust go unfixed!

For the door, you might be able to find a new skin, then a good paint shop should be able to fade it to match the rest of your truck.

I took them off, still looks a bit akward to me. Bolts were not coming off without a lot of time, Hence the sawzall which seems to solve a lot of 4runner problems.

I was wondering when you would take those off.

It may seem awkward at first, but then you'll get to really like the look without them.

Ditto, I always thought they looked better with Running boards, til I did my lift...

I took em off and then sold em cuz I knew I would never want them again!

if you want to see my old running boards, pull up a pic of Piperoo's 4runner...

Yeah i didnt like the non-rusted bumper at first either, and i don't think all this open space will last, it needs a homemade set of box sliders, which should come in spring. Thanks, it is growing on me, so nice being able to get out and not hit the running boards, they got in the way.

it actually gives you more clearance too... I got stuck in some pretty deep snow once in Breck and would not have gotten stuck with the running boards off...

u'll get use to the looks. after a while it starts getting better on the eyes. however the only bad thing about removing running boards is...its gunna ruin my leather seats. I noticed when im getting in and out..i dont have running boards to step up and sit..now i have to slide in and out..the outsides of my seats are gunna take a beating.

am i the only one to notice this?
