My trans temps and 70264 to 4589 swap

I think as a matter of course, anyone changing out their thermostats should position it at 6 o'clock since I haven't seen anyone say that the 6 position actually raised their coolant temps. In my case there was essentially no change, but again, who knows what the temp would be if I flipped the replacement around to where the original was.

Perhaps it will just have to remain a mystery.

Yeah, I don't want to find out bad enough to drain my coolant, change the thermostat position, fill it up with coolant, check the temperature, possibly find the temps have risen as much as 20 degrees and then drain the coolant again, reposition the thermostat again and fill with coolant again. Uh, NO, ain't gonna happen.
