Love the look of your lift. This is exactly what I was looking for. I already traded my Nittos when they were new for 275-70-17 KO2’s. A few questions. Did it reduce some of the nose dive? How much to install and align? I saw the OP paid $350 for installation and $120 for alignment. I’m assuming the caster was adjusted. Is there a sweet spot for caster and camber with this lift? Also, I want to plastidip, powdercoat or anodize the roof rails like you did. Which process did you use? I see you picked up some black oem crossbars also. I’m looking for some black lugs and locks also. Great looking 4Runner.
Thanks very much for the info.Yes, nose dive has been majorly reduced due to the lift and the stiffer E-Rated tires. Install was a whopping $100 and took all of 47 minutes from start to finish. I have no idea what all they adjusted with the alignment but it's perfect and the total was $70. So all in I was out $150 for the lift, and $170 for the install and alignment, $320 in total, not bad for the improved look/clearance/ride/handling. That said, it is no substitute in the long for a proper lift, this is simply a stop gap unit I put a better kit on.
I powder coated my side rails, $50 for the pair at my powder coat guy and he had them done the same afternoon. The Pro comes with black ends caps and the black crossbars were on the truck when we bought it new. I agree that black lug nuts would improve the look.
I know there's been a ton of talk about mild lift options for the TRD Pro without giving up the suspension. I did a lot of research and considered doing the 2/2, Toytec, etc. In the end I had Jason Burtman at Burtman Industries make a 1.5/1 spacer lift which I think turned out perfectly. I also threw on some 275/70/17 BFG AT KO2s. There isn't any rubbing and I didn't have to do fender liner mod, cutting or anything else to make them fit.
I think the truck now sits perfect for an everyday vehicle, looks much more aggressive than stock, and also gives me a bit better clearance/approach angles for when I'm out on the dirt.
There is absolutely no change in ride quality, body lean, etc. from the stock setup which was a concern of mine since I really do like how it drives stock. It's a tiny bit bumpier (I'm sure because they are now LT tires) but it's so minimal that it doesn't really make a difference. If you're on the fence about what to do, I think this is a great option.
This is on 2in spacer up front and dob springs rear,Anyone running the spacer lift on stock sized 265's? Trying to figure out what lift would look best while maintaining 265 AT's
I'll have the 1.5/1 lift from Burtman installed by the end of the month with the 265's - I'll post a pic after. Hopefully by the 18th.
Torn if I should go with 1.5 or 1” front. You plan on running stock UCA’s? I just don’t want it to look silly with 265’s. I used to run a Bilsteins 1.75” front and 1” rear with 265’s. I’m now in 285’s and a 3/2 lift. Downsizing just want it to look nice. I know I’m overthinking this lol.
Going to stay stock UCA's. I've read they mostly need to be replaced over 2" and I'll do a few thousand miles on them, inspect, and go from there. I'm keeping the stock 265's for now, there's only about 8,000 miles on them and trying to be smart about it. I'll do 275/70's the next tire purchase, though.Torn if I should go with 1.5 or 1” front. Correct. So if you take a TRD Pro... And add a 1" spacer to the front... That would be 2" of lift over a regular Trail, correct? So theoretically a TRD Pro with a 1" front spacer and a Trail with a 2" front spacer would have the same stance?
I tried to do the same. Ended up pulling 265’s off that only had 10k miles on them for 285’s. Black Friday got me. No regrets.Going to stay stock UCA's. Correct.
I’m sure spacer lifts ride fine, but I spent a little more and did springs. Kept the same spring rates so it still rides like stock.
1.5" front and 1" rear on 275's.

Looks nice!
Which front coils do you have? I see some red. Any other suspension mods?
