My turn for stupid wheel question

Yes.. I am going to be THAT guy.

Looking at 3 wheels options:

1. 17x8 -10 offset
2. 17x8 0 offset
3. 17x8.5 -6 offset

Tire will remain 255-75-17 BFG KM1

I am currently running OEM wheel with 1.25" AllPro Spacers

Assuming that OEM wheel is 17x7.5 30 offset it would appear option 2 would fit just like my OEM with spacer.

Option 1 & 3 would stick out ~0.25" further.

If I thought my next tire size 'might' be 275-70-17 should I choose option 1 or 3 to allow for more internal (body mount) clearance? Or just stick with option 2?

Or am I just over thinking this?

What is the backspacing on each wheel? Are you planning on reusing the wheel spacers?

Wheel 1 = 4.1" = -10 on a 8" wheel
Wheel 2 = 4.5" = 0 on a 8" wheel
Wheel 3 = 4.5" = -6 on a 8.5" wheel

Not planning on using the spacers anymore.

no spacers, -6 on a 8.5 will bring it out to fender line. 275 will allow it to tuck back in a little bit.

my truck is 285 on a 9" at 0 off set = 5" backspace. if you doing a 8.5 and -6 it will bring it back down in width but go back out to fender line with the offset.

i like it closer to fender line. i like it wider. i vote 3
