My "windshield creak/tick" and how I fixed it.

I have an 18 TORP. After 6 months of driving I have not noticed the noise but I checked the flap on the drivers side. Sure enough, when I wiggle it there’s that squeeky plastic-on-metal noise coming from two of the plastic push pins that hold the rubber flap to the body. They are hard plastic and squeak like crazy. I popped them off (they really are intended to be one use only) and replaced them with some bigger better ones I had in my junk drawer.
Snugger fit, no movement, and no more squeaks!

Will try this. I have a tiny rubbing squeak similar to your video but not as loud. Super annoying. Started after a recent off-road trip through whoops.

This thread was just what I needed...could have sworn there was something wrong with my windshield.

I removed the OEM fasteners, cleaned the metal underneath with rubbing alcohol, then cut a disk shaped pieces of Gorilla tape and to put over the holes for some extra padding/friction. Poked holes in the tape and then used the same fasteners that ElectroBoy shows in his photo above.

To save whoever reads this some time, I have attached a photo of the fasteners shown in the post above, purchased from Napa.

About $6 for 4 of them. They fit nice and snug. Squeaking noise is gone!

This is incredible, how is it that something down in the wheel well sounds like its coming from where the windshield meets the Roof/headliner? I took the lightbox out and starting tugging on the liner everywhere with a pry bar. Oddly I even rolled down the window to see if it was exterior, but couldn’t hear anything. I will try this tomorrow.
