Yeah no kidding! It's been so hot these past few weeks so I'm sure August won't feel any better. You're probably getting it just the same as we are here.

If you mean by "getting it the way you are" that it's hotter than Africa than yes..... It's miserable.

which ones did you order?, also are they bolt on or weld on? only suggestion would be if bigger tires are in the plans for the future and the tire size you want requirs more fender clearance its best to add body lift before slider install. so you can mount the sliders high up (more ground clearance) and BTW hell yeah!! lol

Thanks, Austin! This is good to know. I actually am planning on new wheels and tires and a lift so I'd better wait. I bought trail gear. I'm actually planning to weld them, but not 100% sure.

welding them is deffinatly the way to go much stronger IMO. just more permanent. You can cut them off if you decide to go a different route just adds labor. a toytec 1in body lift or a rodger brown 1" ,1.25", or 1.5" body lift should clear 33inch tires pretty swell with any 2in or higher suspension lift added to it. I'm sitting on the rodger brown 1.25" BL with a 3" lift up front and i still had to do some slight trimming but i think i could've avoided the trimming with a slightly more narrow tire lol. main thing is to have the body where you want it to sit before welding the sliders on, you want to tuck the sliders as close to the body as you can however you dont want the sliders to cause a loss of ground clearance that you just gained from adding a lift if that makes since.. like if you add a 3in lift then hang 1.5in diameter rails just under the rocker panel well then you only gained 1.5inchs of ground clearance, where as if you raise the body an inch and move the sliders up an inch on the frame rail you only loose 1/2" of ground clearance. and trust me lol every inch counts haha. cant wait to seem them put on. I still think its funny you were just about to sell that truck and just wait your gonna be so in love with that truck when you start seeing all the personal touches you add lol.

And wanna hear something funny... I had forgot to remove it on CL and a guy was interested in purchasing it. Said let him know if I changed my mind. Yeah, no going back now
Had I would have known that it's best to wait to put these on until the lift is done, then I would have purchased that part first.
At least I learned this before welding them on, right?!

right! you'll find alot of guys on here that learned the hard way so to say, put the sliders on then went for bigger tires, needed the body lift, got the body lift but the sliders were still mounted low so they have a good 1.5in gap between the sliders and the body. they still worked just not exactly the most practical position for off-roading. lol whad the guy offer just out of curriousness.

He didn't actually throw numbers yet. I should have worded that different. We hadn't gotten that far. I did tell him that I had already started to mod it. Slight stuff but still. Even if I was able to get 16 for it, it still wouldn't get me the same gen 06+ with the sport trim. I think I made the right decision in keeping it.

Thanks, Dave! It was for sure a learning experience. A lot of new things for me to learn but had a good time doing it!

Lift is done! Took 2.5 hours to do the lift alone and 30 minutes to do the differential drop.
I had a lot of firsts! First time working on any car (I'm a girl, give me a break!)...first time getting as dirty as I did...and first time I've ever drank a beer! NO, I'm not 21! I'm well over the age to drink, just never cared for beer.
Working in a shop that isn't air conditioned on the weekend and the outside temps are well into the 100's... a beer actually taste pretty darn good.

It's a bit nose High. Gained 4" in the front and 3" in the rear.

The rear shock top nut looks like it's over tightened. The bushing should look similar to the one in the stock rear shock pic.

Great job Terri!!! Looks great! You should be very proud of yourself.

That nose should level out for you once you drive and bounce it around a little. If not, then you may want to adjust it.

Now time for some rubber!!!
