Sanded nubs where the grille was cut

Etch Primer and regular Primer added

Started painting with matte black enamel

Inside of grille painted with matte black enamel

Let me tell you.. I was told not to use my stock grille. To order another off ebay. I didn't listen :biggrin2:
This is actually my stock grille. I don't think it will be too much of an issue to get a stock grille pretty cheap if I needed one.

Oh I got ya. Yeah you're right though, 6 of one half dozen the other...

Looks great though! I like how formed the mesh around the border to clip it in place. Anything else (hardware or anything) holding it?

Also like the fact that you didn't glass and bondo back in the chunk that removed with the center section. Simple to point and still looks as good as everyone elses. Me = impressed!

You know, I don't like the messy look of the bondo and stuff. I guess I didn't really see the point of filling the sides in. It was a pretty simple process. It took about 3-4 hours total from start to finish to complete.
The mesh was bent around the insides of the grille and then it's held in place with hot glue that they use in the automotive shops. No other hardware.

Done and on. Only thing I don't like is the yellow tint to the emblem. I think I'll be painting that white.

Now, did you read? I mentioned that I don't like the yellow. I'll be painting it white tomorrow.
