Nardling's "JAEGER" Project Build

Hey Guys, I recently decided to give my 4Runner project a name, so I went with "JAEGER" which comes from "Jager" and means Hunter. Also you might know the name "JAEGER" from the movie Pacific Rim. But any ways, I thought it would be a cool name for the build. I purchased my 4Runner for $5,500 from a local export car shop near my home at the beginning of the school year in 2013. From the start I focused on both the exterior and interior appearance and sort of beat around the bush with the under the hood and performance aspects of the build for reasons such as an upcoming prom, college and apartment funds, a girlfriend and a mother who doesn't understand what the point is of tearing apart and tampering with a perfectly good vehicle :spider: lol. But recently i decided to jump into the big spending and purchase a 3" lift kit and this marked my trek into many upcoming exciting add ons and updates. Ill start off by posting a couple of pictures of my 4Runner and what it looked like when i bought it and then what it looks like now. So this will be a timeline of sorts dating back to my first mods and such and will carry out until my build is finished.

Throw back to my first mod. I got the plasti dip bug and then I decided to do the Satoshi grille mod in a very weird 3rd gen grille. Probably should've gotten another more open 3rd gen grille but it's whatever.

Bumper Build

So one day i decided to take Jaeger to humble and go play in some mud. Ended up letting my step brother drive it and he face planted Jaeger going through a pot hole, Luckily I had my brush guard on which pretty much saved the day. I came back to Houston with a ****ed up Brush guard and I decided it was time for a tube bumper. A friend and I headed down to our local steel supply place and picked up 12ft of Square Tubing for around $30 and went to work. Here are some picks, keep in mind this was our first time doing something like this and my first time welding.

Yeah i did on my former account AfterSchoolCustoms lol. and thanks man, i would have rather bought one from Savage Offroad but was short on money at the time so i just gave building one a shot.

Llift Kit Installation

So I recently my insurance company sent me $1400+ for an accident i had last year, and i went ahead and purchased a Revtek Suspension 3" Lift. 1-2 weeks later in came in and 3 days later we got started on the installation. Relying heavily on the instructions that came with the product and a couple of make-shift tactics, we finally got the lift on after 10 hours of working in the on and off rain. I doubted the product raised my vehicle up 3" and took it to my friend Tayzorz house to see the difference. My vehicle is slightly shorter which kind of upset me.

Picked up some wheels and tires off of craigslist for a combined total of $200. The tires are hankook dynapros.
