I just bought a new 2015 4x4 SR5 Nautical Blue 4Runner. But I don't see very many of them around here. So let's start a thread for Nautical Blue 4Runners.

We had the exact same situation. Had to wait a month for our 4x4 Third Row in Blue.

I love the TRD Pro grill, but I can't bring myself to spend $700 on two pieces of plastic. Hopefully it comes down. The Tundra grill for example is only $250.

No pics yet but we got ours in Jan. The dealer could only find 5 on the east coast. Only took about a week for it to arrive.

Anyone got a pic of the TRD grill? The dealership had a gray one with a billet grill, no name on the grill that looked really nice. They told me it was like $349.

Hey guys looking at a 4Runner this color. For any off road stuff does it get marked up and show more than other colors?

I have a 2014 GTI the same color and its pretty touchy, shows little scratches and swirls easily. Wondering if the Toyota paint is a little tougher?

I love the TRD Pro grill, but I can't bring myself to spend $700 on two pieces of plastic. Hopefully it comes down. The Tundra grill for example is only $250.

toyotaonlineparts.com has it for $540. from what i've been told, certain parts for special models are made cost prohibited to where the average person wouldn't spend it to make it look like the special model. best example from when i worked at a body shop was a monte carlo that was the nascar edition. all it was to make it that way was a graphic pinstripe kit that was over $2000. we had ordered graphics for other vehicles that took up more space and were more elaborate for 1/4 that cost. in reality those 2 parts probably cost less than $50 to produce.

The clear coat seem really soft to me. I've had to polish out 1/2 dozen fairly visible scuffs and scratches and I've only had it 3 months. This is just normal daily stuff, no off-roading yet. The blue may make these more visible. It doesn't really seem any worse than the 2006 I had in the same color. I purchased that one used and it came pre-scratched so I didn't worry about it as much.

But you got to admit, all in all, spending a little time in the driveway with your new pride and joy ain't such a bad thing right?

And a dark vehicle, well maintained - nothing looks better IMO.

Agree...It seems if I look directly at my Nautical Blue Limited it will scratch!

That's why I always look at mine sideways
