For those of you with the Nav and back up camara as a factory option is there a way you can get the Audio Screen to come up instead of the nav screen all the time. The nav screen should come up if you need nav, not set as a defalt no? I dont need the Nav screen on all the time and I am gettting sick of hiting the audio button every time I come out of reverse to see the radio stations. Thanks

All you have to do is push the INFO button, then select SCREEN SETTINGS. On that screen you select if it automatically transitions back to nav or not.

I did that. The audio screen comes on after start up but after you come out of reverse the nav screen comes up. I have it set to off so I would think the nav screen should stay off but it doesnt. Ill check that setting again. Thanks.
Just went outside and looked. The screen setting is on "off." Start the truck hit audio, put truck in reverse, back into drive and up pops the nav screen. This is happening with the setting on "on" and "off."

Aw crap. It must be a factory default that can't be changed then. I never noticed that when I had mine installed. I've got an aftermarket installed at the moment.

Wish I could be more help...

Nobody else has factory nav? Even if I have the screen on audio and get a phone call, after I hang up the phone the nav screen pops up. This is normal? Thanks.

I think that is just a product of the firmware. I also have mine set to *not* automatically change and find that your 2 situations are exactly when it will revert back to the nav screen - using the backup camera or using a phone through the bluetooth system.

Otherwise, if I hit Audio while I am driving down the road, it will stay on the Audio screen until I bring up the Nav manually OR of course, activate the camera or phone again.

The first couple of weeks I had the 4R, I didn't really care, and let it auto-switch back to nav all the time. Now that I have my Sirius installed and working, it is nice to see the artist and title info scroll on the screen.

Now I've learned/accepted that using reverse or using the phone will mean I have to change the screen back if I want the song info again...no biggie to me really. Typical firmware activities as far as I am concerned - not quite 100% logically thought out.

Ok, thank you for the quick responce. I think that's a pretty foolish way to set it up but I guess it's not all that bad. It really should be a default screen that we choose, but what do we know were only the customer. Thanks again.

That's right, what do we know? lol

I think the firmware or software just has too many "nav screen is the default" settings in it. I certainly do not know how to change it, and honestly doubt we are able to without a firmware or software update, if those are even possible.

This is my first factory nav system so I am learning as I go myself -but yours is acting exactly like mine.
