Yes I am a photographer by profession here in Atlanta. I love photographing people. Everything from weddings to family and children's portraits. So getting away from the studio and photographing landscapes and architecture is a great diversion for me.

The camera I use for most of my work including the ones from The Blue Ridge Pkwy. are shot with a Nikon D2X (12mp) SLR and mostly with a 17-55mm f2.8 ED-IF-AFS lens.

BTW, any of the cameras you mentioned in your post would do a great job. Cannon and Nikon are fantastic systems.

Hell Yeah, Reppin' Boonetown. I was out driving that same day around Boone because Appalachian State canceled my classes that day. It was my first time driving the 4runner in the snow and it was a blast. I too wish that more parts of the parkway were open that day. I wish i had some pictures to post, but I was too busy driving to be out taking pictures.
