I'm not even actually sure what the misalignment was about ... mine fit perfectly, and none of our other clients have had that problem. No worries though, he fit them and we're double checking the templates.

That writeup was mine. One thing you can count on from NE is killer communication and support--they're a good bunch.

I've put on a few hundred miles since the install, with maybe 15 miles of messing around on the dirt, and the ride is way better. One thing I haven't mentioned: before the lift, going slow over big speedbumps I'd always bottom out in the front--I could feel the front hitting the rubber stops, and it was bugging me big time. Doesn't happen anymore--the stiffer ride is a huge improvement.

Since I have a couple more inches clearance in front than in back, I was thinking of a heavier front skidplate. Are there any satisfactory bolt-on 4th gen skidplates yet?

KUDOS to NITROUS ENTERPRISES

I recently finished intalling my 3" NE lift. This leveled out the rig by lifting the front exactly 4" and the rear exactly 3", as advertized.
This is a quality product!
Everything went great, I had a few questions during the install, and Tracy and Anthony were right there with the answers. Very helpful.

SPBLAT, you're the Man for getting that done on one day.
It took me the better part of 2 days, but I did it solo, and took my time. Each corner, took less time, the last rear corner took me less than an hour. BTW, I noticed in your pics that you have the rubber spacer btw the top plate and the NE spacer. I put the rubber btw the spring and the NE spacer. Not a big deal, and not worth taking apart again!

Here are my tips:
Front: Use "White Out" to mark the alignment of the top plate and the spring, BEFORE you dissassemble. This will help you get things lined up later.

Invest in good tools! Pitman arm puller, spring compressors, jack stands, floor jack, etc! (Sears loves me.) and AIR TOOLS! if you've got the dough!

If you're like me, there's nothing better than buying a bunch of new tools for a home or auto project, and then putting them to good use.

"GearWrenches" (ratcheting box end wrenches) were VERY handy on this job, (especially on the third nut on top of the stut assembly, where you can't get a socket).

Use some sort of Liquid Wrench on all the nuts, well in advance so it can soak in. This helps tremendously. I used a product called "AEROKROIL", made by KANO Labrotories (615-833-4101) I bought it at Tacoma Screw. Very good stuff.

The Pitman arm puller worked great. I think much better than the sledge hammer method. :

Here's another tip:
I put 265/70-17 BFG ATs on a couple weeks ago (before the lift), and when the wife drove it, she said "these tires rub, you need a lift" !!

Well, I am off to the mountains tomorrow, for some snowboarding! Steven's Pass has finally opened. Dig out the rock board! :arrow:

Guess I wasn't the only guy out playin with my newly lifted runner in the snow today. Took this just after a macho moment pulling a pal's van out of an ice rut while our kids were having their fun on the sleds. The mud was from new year's eve--haven't yet had the heart to wash it off.

i have the 4'' lift and the ride didnt get any worse or better, just taller .

Exactly, it does not get stiffer, because you are using all the same springs and shocks. You are just placing spacers on the top of the springs, so your rig rides higher.

I am very happy with my NE lift.
