Need a good alarm.

Just picked up a nice 2000 SR5 5spd with 114k to replace my previous 2000 SR5 5spd, which I sadly wrecked in an accident last month.

We've had two cars stolen off our street this year, and I'm nervous.

Need some recommendations on a good alarm and competent install in the Denver area. There is no factory alarm but I do have keyless entry. I've glanced at Viper and Clifford. Are they the most reliable? What else is out there?

I'm in the market as well. Worried about the cat and wheels in addition to the entire car, so I've been looking at getting an alarm with a proximity sensor and a tilt sensor.

Most all alarm manufactures share the same features just comes down to how much you want to spend and what you want the alarm to do. I'd look for one ith a 2 way remote auto start tilt and maybe proximity sensor..
I had a python alarm in my old runner and as soon as someone would put there hand in my truck with the top off it would chirp was pretty sensitive

I think I'll end up skipping the remote start, since I have a manual. Clifford used to make their alarms with remote start for manuals, but I think now it's a workaround, which doesn't sit well. I'll probably get a similar setup otherwise, though. Just need to find a good deal and a reputable installer...

I installed all kinds of 12v products for a few years, their products were IMO the best. I put a 2-way alarm/RS in my truck in 2002, still works flawlessly.

Can I make a suggestion?

One of the best Dog's I ever had growing up as a kid. She was protective of the family but you could take her any where. She was super sweet but Holy hell if you came in her yard at night, ask my friends next door growing up as a kid,lol.

I miss her allot and want another one but I promised my wife a Great Dane before getting a Rottie.

Clifford, Viper, Python, Automate, Avital, AstroStart, and Autostart are all owned by the same company. I own a Clifford with tilt sensor. I recommend you get one with a 2-way paging function. That way, the remote will alert you when you're unable to hear the alarm.
