Need ABS Control Module 2003 4Runner

ABS brake actuator

Hi all, I have a 2003 4Runner Limited V6 and my ABS brake actuator just died... anyone have any leads or can help direct me on Ebay? My mechanic is telling me it's a $3000-3500 repair... yikes.

Thanks for any help you can give.

My turn...I got all the codes thrown today, and so I'm on the hunt. Reviving this thread to see if anyone is online who when through this and where they ended up getting the part. Thanks!

That's about the going rate for refurb's on ebay. Some of them give you money if you send yours back. That one looks good to me too. Except for the cost. Going to take me a while to be able to get one.

I have an extra pump and accumulator I purchased on eBay recently for my Son’s 4Runner. Ended up just rebuilding the pump motor and swapping a new accumulator. $150 shipped if anyone needs it.

Did some research today & went to AutoZone to have the battery & alternator checked, and both are fine. Ultimately I cannot remember the last time I did a brake system fluid flush & refill. I know I've done it, but I cannot remember when. So thus that must be due. I think I had a bubble in the system, and perhaps combined with the fluid reaching the end of its life, as well as my brake pads nearing theirs too, I had some sort of fluke where the computer fired off 6 codes, and only 2 of them pertaining to the ABS.
So I got to thinking about some electronic things occurring lately. One being last week I turned on the 4 low and turned off the TSC. When I reversed that, the TSC was very grumpy about turning back on. Took several tries doing all the tricks I know, and finally it clicked back on when I guess I found the perfect level spot and letting it slowly free roll. One of the codes that were thrown pertained to the TSC. Thinking back on that it occurred to me that I haven't heard the ABS pump turning on this past week. Those of you who are familiar with this know what sound I'm talking about. Since resetting the codes last night the sound of the ABS module working has returned. And also now the "play" in the brake pedal has returned to normal and isn't as far to the floor. When I was having the battery & alternator checked today I noticed the level on the brake fluid in the reservoir is lower than it was yesterday, and its color is just a bit darker. So I'm going to get that system flushed and then put in the new pads replaced if they need to. I'm also due to replaced the gear oil in the diff & transfer case. Regardless today the 4Runner braked perfectly again, better than it has in several weeks. Staying up on maintenance is everything!
