Need advice on 2006 4Runner Limited Tail light

Hi all,
About a month back I got this car. Today morning I found that passenger side taillight is damaged by someone somewhere in Toronto.
Please see the pictures and tell me if it is OEM 2006 light or is it LED one. Also, where to get this light and how much it is going to cost. I am based in Toronto, Canada.
Is it advisable to put the taillight guards on them. Where can I get these guards?

I'm not sure if I understand the question exactly. The OEM taillights in 2006 are in fact LED taillights. So as long as you purchase an OEM taillight for model years 2006-2009 then you should be fine. Good luck!

There are probably several places you can get a replacement from, but I've got a friend who has personally used these guys and says they're stuff is great quality.

Most likely still a fraction of the OEM replacement.

Honestly, if you're going to replace it, get the genuine Toyota part. The aftermarket companies do not fit as well and are not as bright. Trust me, it took buying cheap aftermarkets and returning them to spend the extra money on Toyota part because the quality did not compare.

Exactly! This is what I am dreading. Because I want to change just the right side and there will be a color and brightness difference between the OEM and after market.

Buy a driver and a passenger aftermarket tail light. It'll probably still be far less then OEM.
On the other hand i would probably buy from the dealer as well, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't b:tch about the cost.
