Need advice on what tires to get for a 3/2 lifted SR5

So I just picked up a ToyTec lift kit (3 inches in front, 2 inches in back) for my '08 4x4 SR5. Can anybody recommend some tires for me?

I'll be doing majority of my driving in the city, drive up to Tahoe about 8-12 a year, and will be doing some off roading at Pismo Beach & Hollister. Would all terrain tires be a good idea?

Can anybody recommend some tire sizes and tire brands? I would hope to get a set of tires that I could just mount on without worrying about it rubbing on the wheel wells.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm in the same boat man. The 3/2 lift from ToyTec just arrived today!!! I've been doing a lot of research on tires, and I think I'm gonna go with (not a huge fan of this brand, but the reviews are great) Goodyear DuraTracs. They are considered an A/T tire. I have an 03 Limited and going with 285/70/r17. I'll most likely have to take the mudflaps off, which I want to do anyways. TireRack told me I could go as wide as 285's being stock. Yeager, are you also planning on doing a body lift?

You should hold off a bit on tires, I was looking on slickdeals.net and saw that discounttire.com & discounttiredirect.com offer $100 off a set of 4 tires. I've looked at the history and they do it about once a month and the last one just expired on 7/2, so I'll probably be waiting til the next deal comes along til I grab some tires.

Custom redneck lift

Front is pure OME without the top spacer and the back is OME HD 3in with about an inch of an old Revtech cut down spacer. 3/4 would be my guess? I haul some and have air bags in the back as well. I ran the same size with my origional lift that was the same as the TT one you have and had zero fitment issues.
I could stuff 285's easy (I have Camburg UCA"S) but just not worth the a little more clearance under the truck and less MPG. I was also worried about loss of power with larger meats. I did notice a jump in price as well with the 285 - they would have taken me over the $1000 mark. I'm a poser and do my woods work with a KTM not a Toyota ha. If I lived in CO it would be a different story. Not a fan of our FL mud holes and what they do to a rig.
I dig my ass high stance and huge wheel well gap :beer:.
