Need advice to correct post leveling lean...

So quick background, my XReas took a dump and I went with brand new FJ springs in the rear, and adjustable Bilstien shocks all around and happy with the way it turned out. I am still up about 1/2 inch in the rear and that is just fine with me. However I do have the left to right lean when facing the truck. Its a about 1/2 inch lower on the drivers side. I have read about adding 1/4 inch spacers so I was hoping you guys could push me in the right direction. I am assuming that doing the new FJ springs in the front would have come out more on the level side from right to left, but now looking for a way to correct it without changing out the front springs. Thoughts and suggestions? Here is a pick of how my truck sits as of today...

I know its very minute and sure its more then 1/2 once I get into the truck, I am just super anal so trying to come up with suggestions. Also with adding a small spacer, will that change the alignment? My friend suggested adding an 18" subwoofer on the right side...lol.

If you jack up the truck with a floor jack in the middle of the rear diff, you can tell if the issue is front or rear. Then jack the front and see if the rear is level. It changes where and how you address the lean.

Or, just find a bigger girlfriend. :)

Ah, drivers side lean. I assume since you have billies and FJ coils, you're not running spacers? Try putting in a small spacer, or one of those 10mm shims from OME in there to correct it.

This is an inherent thing with our 4Runners, they all seem to lean like this and it only gets worse when lifted. I believe many guys find putting a spacer in the Driver's Rear side fixes it (or was it Driver's Front? I don't remember...)

I took a 3 prong approach to fix the driver side lean.

I highly suggest it to anyone as I believe in function over form. LOL..

First I cranked the driver side front coil over just a tad:

Then I added a 2nd battery on the passenger side:

Then I added an Engel MT45 Fridge in the rear on the passenger side:

This combination may not be the most cost effective, but it did level everything off.

This is what I am curious about, can you tell me more about the 10MM shims? Would it require me to do another alignment? And yes FJ coils (Only in the rear) and the bilstiens all around. I am really curious about the spacer though so please tell me more if you can...thanks.

And yes I will add the second battery down the road, but problaby not the fridge though that is pretty bad ass....lol. Wouldn't mind adding the sub woofer but not a huge fan of adding a bunch of stereo equipment...

I am running the 10mm OME rear trim spacer part number 150PR10R (Prado 150). It did NOT correct the issue. I wouldnt recommend it.

That's what I've heard; however, if they can come across it cheap, it's worth a shot, because it COULD correct OP's issue.

The cheapest route is adding a DS 1.5" spacer on driver rear spring.

Yeah, my driver side is over-corrected now. Sits like 40" and the pass is like 39 or something. Oh well. It'll sag more in time and Im gonna mount the hi lift on the driver side

I listed my 3 prong approach too. Mine is perfectly level, but costs a tad more than a spacer..

Order a custom rear spacer from Cornfed. I went with a 3/4" and it worked well. I had tried the Daystar 1.5 but it was too much. Spacer was $40 shipped iirc.

I don't know what kind of condition your front springs were in before you changed shocks/struts, BUT:

I just installed brand-new Bilstein 5100 struts and shocks along with brand-new Moog FJ Cruiser coils (front and back) and set the front Bilsteins at the second setting, or .85". The trucks sits perfectly level and rides fantastic. No more bottoming out.

I thought it would ride rough due to the increase in front spring rate, but I was completely surprised how firm, yet pleasant the ride is.

Did you have a problem seating your rear moog fj coils?

They didn't just drop into the seat easily. I had to run a pry bar across them back and forth a few times to get them to partially seat. Once the vehicle weight was placed back on them they seemed to seat pretty well.

How much lift did you end up getting from the Moog springs? I've read that they provide more lift than the factory FJ's springs? Pics would be awesome! :wink2:
