Hi to all Toyota people, I'm new here, well I just purchase a 06 4runner on Austin TX and on my way back to FL I got a heavy rain, the brake and VSC TRAC light come on and off for the rest of the trip, by the next day I have a solid light on it, that was las week, I when to the dealer Courtesy Toyota on Orlando, have the 4runner check for the tech and they have two codes, the brake switch and they also have to flush the all brake system, pay about $300 for that service, and about all day the truck on it, then bad news, when they reset the brake and VSC TRAC lights a they come back again with a new code, replace the master hydraulic cylinder, with a estimate $2,950.00 way to hight, only part and labor, well I start doing a search online for the part and I found the average price on it about 1,500 to 1,700 just for the new original Toyota master cylinder, asking the service advisor to just price me for the labor and I get the part my self online, $495 only for labor, but is to $$$$ to spend and after replace two parts they don't warranty to me if that will be the solution to turn the lights off on my gauges, if any one have a issue like this before??? Any solution ???
