Need help deciding on my next mod!

Im looking to do something else to my runner. I will have about a 500 budget and im not wanting wheels yet. Im between a roof rack or maybe sliders. Keep in mind i do have a 2wd so it doesnt hit many trails. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's difficult to help you with your decision when we do not know exactly what you have done to your T4R thus far. All I know for sure is that you have installed an LED bar in your front lower grill. Have you installed a spacer or suspension kit? Larger tires? Etc?

Also, what do you plan to do with your 4Runner?
If you wanna carry kayaks and surfboards on roof, or take it on camping trips on moderate dirt roads and want more cargo room then you need a roof rack.
If you want to take it to very rugged, very rocky trails maybe you'd want sliders.

Probably should've mentioned that I have a daystar 2.5/1.5 and 265/70/17 coopper at3s. I do plan on taking it camping but also some light wheeling

will $500 get you decent sliders or rack?

whitson rack is like $1000 sliders are $300-500. no trails, why you want sliders?

i'd go lift, daystar spacer lift, and body lift....should be $200-225ish and after install and alaignment you'll be at $500

Why body lift? He already has the Daystar spacer lift and his 265/70's fit fine. He's not going to be doing any rock crawling or heavy duty off-roading. I say, considering your description of activities, that you should go with the roof rack (of which there are a few in the sub $500.00 area). A couple of other mods that you might consider, are LED swap for interior lights as well as gauge cluster and HVAC controls. I hesitantly did this on my Runner and I have to say that I love this mod more than any other, save my Toytec Ultimate lift. I also recommend HID's for your headlights. What a dramatic difference this made for me when I took the family camping, aside from every day (er night) driving. Anyway, just thought I would throw those other options in.
