I’m doing my headlight retrofit with a morimoto d2s 4.0 projector and Don’t know how to make a new “grommet” for the back of the housing

The oem one has an inner diameter that’s too big to seal
Any ideas?

Here’s a sneak peek of the retrofit

I haven't tackled a retrofit (yet) so no help on your wiring issue... But wanted to ask, Chankeye Dirtrider216 what are you guys using for the high beams and how well do they work?
I've had this thread bookmarked forever
instead of a projector retro ..i was thinking of doing this..... - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum
but always seem to get into other projects and have never gotten around to it.

I believe we are both using Profile hi lens led from the retrofit source
From everything I’ve seen they are “okay” as a high beam- I’m installing it mainly for looks and I also have it wired to the D2s projector hi beam switch so when I flip my hi beams on the projector will do the majority of the work for the hi beam light output

The factory grommet fits pretty well over the ring that holds the bulb in, as I recall. Put the headlight bulb in and see where you're at?

Gotcha, Thanks for the info!

Edit: Would be cool to see some output shots when you're done

im using the Profile Hi lense also. I have d2s bi xenon projeectors for low/ high beams, so the profile Hi lenses is more of a off road flood light. they are pretty bright, i'd say they are similar to baja squadron "sports" , not quite as bright as squadron "pro's".

order a few set of grommet, might be 75, 80 or 85.
i didnt use any aftermarket ones since lightwerkz did a fine job, i didnt need them when i did the rx330-afs.

so what bulbs did you get now, i was able to score some osram cbb for 130ish from lightwerkz sale, still the best price. these bulbs look good to me with my s2000 projectors, and also rx350 on my lady's camry. now im waiting to put them on the fx-r on the tacoma.
