Need help for lifting my 06' SE 4X4..anyone help from S.Ohio, West Va., or Virginia?

I just purchased my 06' SE 4X4 V8 4 weeks ago and am ready to lift it. I am either getting a cornfed, OME, or Donahoe/Saw. I have the XREAS and will remove it if I choose the OME or Donahoe/Saws (which is where I am leaning at this point). Are there any members that can help me? I am 5 minutes from Huntington, WV and 3 hours from Virginia. Also, I am only 1 1/2 hours from Columbus Ohio. I am not rehearsed in lifting vehicles nor disconnecting XREAS. Any help would greatly be appreciated and I will pay for help. Thanks

why would you want to remove the XREAS system? i have a 2004 sport V8 with XREAS and lifted it without removing the system. i used the daystar 2.5" kit and it drives fine.

do you have any pics of your rig? i really like the changes of the 2006. i installed the LED tail lights and am thinking of changing the headlights if they fit.

Happy thanksgiving to you as well. I plan to remove my Xreas only if I choose the Old Man Emu lift or a coilover lift like Donahoe/Saw. IF you use OME or either of the coilover lifts, you have to disconnect the Xreas. If you use a spacer (like you did), then you can keep your Xreas. But, a OME lift or coilover lift is IMHO the better way to go. I plan to simply unhook my Xreas and just plug it up so that I can hook it back up down the road if I want it back to stock. I am leaning toward a OME lift right now. I have done alot of research and it seems that everyone is very happy with this lift. Its about $800, but it provides shocks and coils for the front and back and gives about 3" of lift.

I love my 06' and especially love the changes that were made to it (compared to my 04' Sport). You will love the headlights! I dont have pics yet, but will very soon.

gotcha. does it make for a better ride with the coil over set? i have a 2 wheel drive so my lift was mainly to be a little higher up and for looks. i now regret not getting the 4x4 model but there's not much places around houston to go off-roading. i wanted to keep my 4runner til it falls apart but now i thinking about maybe trading it in later for the fifth gen 4runner when it comes out. have no idea what it will look like, but the changes they made on the 06' 4runner who knows how badass it will be. here's a pic of my new tail lights with the the bumper reflectors and the spoiler light tinted.
