Need help front shocks will not line up!!

So ive been installing new struts and springs today and driver side went well until i got to passenger side. yes they are the correct shocks. The top 3 bolts go in fine but the bottom shock mount and the shock will not line up whatsoever:noidea:. I was thinking maybe the guy i had press the shocks and coils together might have over or under tightened them so there off by like half inch. here are some pic, tell me what you guys think. Any thoughts on what i should do will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Im afraid to just jam it in there because i dont want to have the shock twisted under pressure.

put something in the hole and turn them until they line up. 1/4 inch ratchet extension works

you dont think that will twist the shock and maybe be bad news lol?

you should be fine. I had to do the same thing using a 3/8 12" ratchet extension and a couple whacks with a rubber mallet on mine and my friends 4runner. Or you can mark where they should align and disassemble the struts and put it back together. But you will probably have to do some twisting anyways..

twist it you will be fine.just turn it till it lines up

don't pry anything just turn the bottom shock eyelet until it lines up and fits into the lca mount

you can rotate the lower shock. it will ether rotate the shock on the rubber top hat or the lower mount on the shock tube.

This just happened to me today installing new KYB Monomax struts with stock springs..... I lined the spring on the bottom with the notch in the strut, and I took extra care to make sure the impression on the strut mount lined up with the top of the spring(where the end of the spring sits in the indention...) well I got home from the shop where I was borrowing compressors and a vice... and... well.... both sides are sitting off about 1/4 turn, as shown above..... I tried rotating it by sticking a drift punch through the eyelet and putting a wrench on the back side for leverage... but I broke the drift punch.....

HELP! please, and help would be great. (p.s. excuse poor formatting.. phones and rushing are terrible)

If you have the parts available just compress the spring so there's no load on the shock so you can turn it

This. Rent a spring compressor or ask a neighbor who works on cars. He has one. It's literally bolts with grabby things that you crank down. Hell, you could probably get a c-clamp to work...

itd be damn near impossible to use them while it's mounted on the truck to ensure they lined up. I was able to take TONS of extensions and a jack handle and get enough leverage to rotate it. It rotated the bottom mount of the spring about .5" on each side.... so they aren't butted up against the stop, but I don't see where it will be an issue. Thankfully they are bolted in...

This. Rent a spring compressor or ask a neighbor who works on cars. He has one. It's literally a bolt with two grabby things on it that you crank down. Hell, you could probably get a c-clamp to work...

LOL I really hated the thought of compressing the spring again, and like I just said, I don't really see where there would be room to operate them while the strut was mounted up high to ensure It would line up.....

this wasn't a problem on my Forester or my STi because the top of the mount spun..... oh well.. they are mounted now I'd rather never **** with them again... Coilovers are sometime in the future... after these 31" tires where out

The wall type are a lot less scary, but you gotta know someone or a shop who has those.

Ultimately, this is how mine ended up... and im not overly fond of it... I just ordered some 1" strut spacers to even the truck up a bit until I decide to fork out for a set of coilovers; I will be making some marks and trying to remedy this little problem. Im not sure it would really mess with anything, but nonetheless, it bothers me.
