Need Help Identifying Part on My Daughter's Tundra

My daughter lives in another state, otherwise I'd just crawl under the Tundra and figure this out. She says this nut is missing in the area of where her 2WD propeller shaft meets the rear diff. The bolt runs front and rear and has a nut on the front but not the back. I've looked at parts drawings and can't sort out what she needs to order.

Year would help. Also not only is a nut missing my concern is the giant chunk missing out of yolk, looking like it was sheered off?!

That's a pretty important nut that is missing. I would recommend your daughter stop at a mechanics (the closest) and get them to put a nut on.
It's basically the nut shown in this picture, but without knowing any model details for her truck, I just picked a random model purely for the graphics, since they are all basically similar.

Get that driveshaft looked at ASAP. Something appears to be broken and you don't want that completely breaking while your driving. Let alone driving at speed.

Better safe than sorry.

Sorry guys, it's an '05 SR5 V8. I have no idea how the damage happened, and I'm not sure she does either. Long story and don't want to digress with her dirty laundry here.

Ironically, she works for a trucking company that has a garage full of mechanics. I'll pass on the advice to get it looked at ASAP. Thanks.

I don't see anything out of place, or missing in regards to the yoke/driveline itself.

but yes, the nut, and likely a washer are missing. not a HUGE deal, assuming the other 3 are still there, and tight. best to get it replaced ASAP however.

I once lost a bolt on my front driveshaft.

The three alone couldn't handle the job. Shortly after, two more bolts had sheared off, and the remaining one created a pivot point for the driveshaft to spin around. The shaft spun off the pinion flange and into the side of my bell housing, broke it right in two. Clutch slave had it's own island bolted to it.

So if I have anything to say... don't drive with only 3 bolts on that bad boy, unless you want to experience what kind of things can break when it comes loose.

At least it didn't turn into a pole vault on the highway. Weird shit happens when driveshafts come loose at 70 mph.
