Need help! Ripped off??

I recently ordered a new clutch set and u-joint for my 97. I know a Toyota mechanic that does side jobs for friends, and hes always helped me out. I am planning on having him install the new clutch and u-joint. He estimates the cost to be $400 for labor. Does this seem like a fair price? Or am I etting ripped off? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I've positive that is going to be cheaper than most anywhere else.
The last time I did one, it took a good three hours with a couple helpers, then you've got the u joint.

Call around and see what someone else would charge you for the same work.

Great deal. The absolute cheapest shop here in town, charges $50/hr. You're talking a 7 hour job, especially for a side job type setup. So $400 is cheap.

Most shops are $85-$110/hr.
