NEED HELP! Rim / Tire / Offset SIZING!

Ive been waiting for the right moment to save up money for my tires and rims.



I have a 2008 4th gen Sport 4runner.

I want to buy to buy Nitto Trail Grapplers as my Tires.

I want to buy Fuel Assault Gloss black 18" rims.

Wants:

- I want the rims to be 18"

- I want the wheels to as big as possible without no rub. " I am willing to take off the mudflaps, but prefer to do no trimming besides that.

- I want my wheels to be only 1" or less of offset looking from the outside of the 4runner.





So what are the exact sizes of the rims, and tires that i would buy?



My big question is about "offset". I only want it to be 1" or a little more farther away from the 4runner that stock wheels.







PLEASE HELP! I AM ON THE VERGE OF BUYING THESE TIRES, but need expert help! THANKS ALOT!

Assuming the first picture is your truck, how much lift do you have front/rear?Those wheels are 18"x9" and are available with +20, +1, or -12 offset. The +1 is probably what you would want to go with to keep the wheel in as far as possible but still have tire clearance around the upper control arms. Those Trail Grapplers aren't available in very many sizes in 18's. The 285/65/18's would probably cause you the least amount of headache when it comes to trimming, but you'll probably have to do some.

I have spacer lifts in the front and the rear.

The front has a 3" lift and the rear a 2" lift.

Thanks for the help, it really means alot! Let me know if your decision on the tire size stays the same now that i told you my lift setup. Sorry i forgot to add it at first lol.

Mine is pretty much the same height as yours and I still had to do some trimming with 17x9 -12 wheels and 265/70/17's. Most of that is do to the wheel offset. You'll still have to do some trimming with those 285/65/18's. There is no way around that with larger tires. Hopefully some folks that have more experience with larger tires will chime in with their input.

I can confirm that with 285/65r18's you will need some trimming done. Had our 3" lift installed on the 21st and with those size tires we needed some trimming done. Nothing excessive, and you can't even tell any trimming was done unless you look inside the wheel well. Don't have much experience with other tire sizes, and still a bit of a noob myself when it comes to this, but figured I'd put my $0.02 in, since I can at least confirm the 285/65r18's! Good looking 4r too, by the way!
