Need help telling if this has KDSS or not

Folks,

We are debating pulling the trigger on the 2013 TE listed below, but need help telling if it is equipped with KDSS. It would be a bit of a drive for us to go look, so just trying to get a feeling if it is worth the trip or not. Also, what do you think about the price?

Picture 10 looks like a KDSS sway bar to me.

Limited experience here, so someone can correct me, but it appears as though it does not have end links on the front sway bar, so it has KDSS.

IMO, it's a great looking truck which they are asking at least $10k too much for. You can purchase a new trail for that price.

it has KDSS. The price is RIDICULOUS!!! yes it has low miles, but is a 2013 and you could buy a brand new trail for that price. The new trail may not have KDSS but you should really consider if you want it that bad first. I wouldnt spend over 30k on the one you linked to.

If anyone here thinks thats a good price i have some oceanfront property in arizona i would like to tell you about...

As stated above... the truck has KDSS and it is TOO EXPENSIVE.

In September 2015 I bought my stock 2011 trail CPO with 34,000 miles on it for $28,000 out the door (taxes and all). The truck also came with running boards which i was able to rip off immediately and sell for $200.

The truck you are looking at does look pretty nice but the price is too high, even for such low miles.

Ha ha, overpriced by $10K so they can come down $3k, overvalue your trade by another $3k and still make good money.

@OP. Go price new before anything else..... or at least lowball them.

I bought my 2016 Trail Premium without KDSS for $150 more than they want for a 4 year old truck with 22k miles.

Sounds like that dealership is fishing for suckers that don't know anything about market value. :fishing:

Will give you a little tip for buying used or getting trade values... Edmunds has forums, one specifically called Real World Trade Values. The guys are very nice and will look up the auction history for the vehicle/specs in your area. If you are buying, your goal is to get within a couple thousand of that price. If trading in, they've consistently been within 1k of the offers i've received on numerous vehicles. The last one they nailed spot on.

I definitely appreciate all the responses, and digging into if the rig had KDSS!

As for the price: I didn't want to say anything outright, but I also thought the listing was way, way too high. I will let you know what the dealer says after I call them.

I paid that price for my NEW 4runner with KDSS.

If that's the market in your area, find a new market.

Yeah I am in the NYC area and I am almost certain just about every price here is inflated beyond belief.

Yeah but you could go to a surrounding state and pick up a new one for less.

In Southern California I got frustrated with the TRDPros going for $10,000 over and the Trail Premiums selling for TRDPro prices. So I found a Trail in another state and almost made the deal until a dealer in LA matched it on the same truck.

Even the market is lopsided, it's crazy to pay this much over for a 4Runner. They aren't that rare. It might just take a little more time or a road trip to get one.

Northern 4R: Was that price $43 Cdn or US? We paid $47 Cdn for our '16 Trail last September. The only bonus we got was that it came with Goodyear Duratracs instead of the standard highway tires, but that probably saved us close to $900 here. - Ted

This 4Runner is the last year of the pre face lifted Trail model, which I think is the best looking. It also has upgraded wheels, and the exhaust looks different I think? Plus salsa red looks great! Maybe somebody will get it for that price...
Edit: it also has the TRD cold air intake, which isn't available on the 14+ models.

Yea, they will get that close to that price pretty easy. The 10-13 trails with low miles that are not beat up are the most desirable 5th gens... A red one is very rare.
