Need help telling if this has KDSS or not

Edit: it also has the TRD cold air intake, which isn't available on the 14+ models.

The TRD CAI *is* available on the '14-Current Year 4Runners; there are numerous members here who have installed them (I'll be one of them shortly).

Personally, pre-face life or not, Salsa Red Pearl or not, low miles or not, the OP can get a new '17 TE for that price or a tad over and if I were him I wouldn't consider this used model unless there was a serious discount.

If you can "cross the border" a couple of times and get to Toyota of Butte (Montana), they will give you a great deal on a brand new TE.

I got mine (w/ KDSS, Entune with Nav, Cargo Cover, Toyota Remote Start) for $37,434.26 (tax -- none here in Montana -- and title/registration not included). This also doesn't include the TRD Matte Black wheels, the five Cooper Discoverer A/Tw tires, and thrust-angle alignment I ordered (paid an extra $1,432.64 for those add-ons).

Why pay "new" for a used 4Runner, when you can pay "new" and get a new 4Runner?

Northern 4R: Was that price $43 Cdn or US? We paid $47 Cdn for our '16 Trail last September. The only bonus we got was that it came with Goodyear Duratracs instead of the standard highway tires, but that probably saved us close to $900 here. - Ted

With freight and pdi it was 44,8xx.

Dealer invoice is $42,7xx and I paid 5% over that, which at the time is what unhaggle.com said. I see now unhaggle states the average joe is paying $1,000 over MSRP for a 2016 TE yikes!!

Well, I talked with the sales manager. In short, he was using the KBB and auction numbers to set their price...and not going to move all that much. $34K is essentially what I got him down to. Unbelievable, especially considering I told him we could go a mile down the block and buy a 2016 TE for just about that price.

In any event, I'm sure someone will pay that price for a rig. Maybe they'll trade in their Audi SQ5 for something they think looks cooler.

You could fly anywhere in the US, buy a 2013, drive it home, and still have a couple thousand for mods to get to a $36k total.

If you're willing to be patient and travel a bit, you can score a really good deal. One way tickets can be super cheap, and there are plenty of guys on the forum that can go and inspect the truck for you. I've seen this a few times on here, has always worked out well.

They had no TE's there when I purchased mine... they "ordered" it for me. I know people say they can't "order" a 4Runner, but if a dealer is motivated and cannot find one that's allocated, they apparently can place an order -- though they have to wait a bit to see if the order is accepted.

Give them a call, ask for Andrew Calderon, and tell him Steve from Colstrip recommended you call them.

Go new. Ive been in contact with all of the dealers between Denver and Pueblo. So far AutoNation on Broadway and Liberty in Co Springs are the best with contact and pricing on 2016s. PM me if you want email addresses.

Yea, they will get that close to that price pretty easy. The 10-13 trails with low miles that are not beat up are the most desirable 5th gens... A red one is very rare.

I paid $1500 less than they are asking for my gently-used 2015 Trail Premium, KDSS, upgraded wheels/AT tires, 13k miles in the BAY AREA.

That vehicle is way overpriced, regardless of color, year, upgrades, etc.

It took me 6 months to find the right truck but eventually found it. Hang in there.
