Need help with ARB compressor install (wiring experts check in here!)

Hello all,

I am installing a CKMA12 ARB compressor and need a bit of guidance on one problem.

The instructions say "use a multi meter to locate an active dash light supply wire." I have run the wire to the dimmer switch which contains 5 wires. Which one would I use for the dimmer wire?

From left to right I have:

1: yellow with red stripe
2: White with silver and small green stripe
3: White with silver and black stripe
4: white with silver and thicker green stripe
5: green with silver

I forgot to mention. Since there is power going in and power going out I am confused on which wire to use. :thanks:

This is the power input for the switch for which the output will trigger a relay? Why don't you just tap an empty fuse slot?

are u asking for parkin light wire to illuminate the switch? its green.

The wire I am looking for controls the light in the switches so they don't blind you at night. Is the green the right one?

what are u trying to do with the wire? parking light wire to illuminate the switch right right? or using a 12v switch powered to provide a trigger to a switch?

I am trying to find the wire that will dim the lights on the ARB switches. The instructions say splice into the active illumination supply wire.

well, the green wire will give you full illumination once the lights are on. for dimming its something else.

dimming maybe white wire with green.

try the green, and use the dimmer and see if u see anything while playing with dimmer.
