Need help with front passenger side window

Does anyone know how to locate this problem,my front passenger side window does not open from any side switch but when you hold down the drive and passenger side switch together then it works.I tried to change master switch on a driver side but no luck,does anyone know how to figure this?

So the passenger window doesn't roll down. But when you push both buttons it does? I would pull apart both switches and see if power was there. If you have power at this location try jumping the power to the switched leg going to the motor. Have you checked the safety lock switch? I would start just pulling switches and reading for voltage and go from their. Best way I could describe it.

If you have the factorySM you could start looking at it to see what it says also.

FWIW, I think its a connection issue.

What year is your truck? I'll attach the 02 EWD for the windows. Not sure how different the earlier years are. And I don't know if you have the ability to check this out yourself. But basically the passenger switch provides power and ground to the motor, inverting power and ground makes it go down, normal is up. The Master switch can also do the same thing, but it still goes through the passenger switch.

You can check for voltage and ground at the terminals 7 and 8 on the master switch while operating any switch. If it does not have 12V and ground while operating the passenger side switch, but does with the master, it is most likely the passenger switch that has failed.

This of course assumes the ground points and power supply are both good, since your other windows work. Study this and give it a go.

Mine is 02,thanks for the info I'm not really good with voltage meter prob. have someone to look at it, i figure give it shot here before i spend money.

Too bad, it's really a simple thing if you are accustomed to the manual and the logic. If you weren't 3000 miles away, I'd help you personally!
