Need help with lift !!!

I have a 04 T4R 4X4 SR5 4.0L V6
I've Installed :
1.5100 Bilstiens shocks and struts for the front
2.5100 shocks on the back
3.I still have stock springs on them

I am trying to get a 3" lift in the front and 2" lift in the back .
I've done some research and narrowed down to these front/rear combination:
1.OME 895 w/topout spacer (for full 3" lift)/ 896
2 OME 895 w/topout spacer (for full 3" lift)/toyotec "superflex "

i am planning to add a custom made bull bar/brush guard welded to the front end,adding weight to the front and back tire carrier (future mods)


is it a good idea to do that ?
please advise /suggest

That sounds like a good setup to me since you're planning on added weight. I've got nearly the same setup minus the rear coils. It handles great. The ride is a bit rough over larger bumps, but the added weight will smoothen things out.

The rear really depends on how much weight the rear tire setup end up being. The superflex coils are great for stock weight, but won't support a rear bumper like the omes. Here are some options for rear coils.
Toytec Superflex:10% stiffer than stock
All Pro: 15%
OME 896: over 45%
Metal Tech 4x4 long travel coils: only ones I know of that are progressive. As more weight gets added, the stiffer they are.
I would probably suggest the metal tech or all pro coils. The only way I'd personally do the 896s is with a full metal rear bumper, tire carrier, hi-lift, fuel cans, cargo drawer, etc added to the rear.

I'm planning on going a different route with myfront suspension, if you're interested in a used set of 885s (approx 20k miles) let me know. If I had plans for a front bumper, I'd be sticking with the 885s, but no plans for that.
 
thx appreciate your input !!!! good to know more options. Really 896 are really tht stiff that tht much weight will get it smooth ? wht will happen to the lift they will provide ?

Probably not all of those items, but most would be required before I personally would use 896s. I just looked up the numbers. 896s are 75% stiffer than stock. I haven't had any of these coils so i'm going based on numbers and some feedback i've read on herefor the same reason, can't really comment on the lift amount either.

The 45% that I quoted is for the 895s. You need to try to figure out how much additional weight you'll be adding and go from there. Unless your plans change, I would stick with my above suggestions or perhaps the 895s for the rear.

That's my opinion, others may have other suggestions.

A lot of people read through these posts, but that doesn't mean the same number of people have knowledge of your particular issue or needs. Would you REALLY like to have 60 posts saying "I'm not sure how to help with that."?? We don't know what the problem is without reading it first--I think a little slack is in order, friend.

im confused, you put nice ass bilsteins on your stock springs with no spacer?

if they are designed for a diff length spring they are going to be bottoming out i would think...
 
ARK_SWAMP_RIDER: you mentioned All Pro springs. Where can we get those? I can find the ToyTec but not the App Pros. I looked through the APp Pro site and could not find any springs mentioned.

my whole idea is to keep the ride sooth as it is right now ,but with aftermarket coils and having spacers was not exactly what i wanted .reason being that i want to have a bumper/winch in the front so i chose to go the other way having bilstiens @ stock level put on some coils (aftermarket ) and get my front bumper adding extra weight to smooth out my ride n moreover u cannot use ride adjustment other than stock coils ...
now i have
bilstiens 5100s w /ome885s(2.5-3") in the front w/1" diff drop
5100s in the rear w/ rear icon coils 2"lift
