Need help with spring selection

I'm going to be running the following setup. I want 2.5" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. Running 275/70/17 BFG K20 tires. I want to be level. What I can't decide on are front springs. I'm looking for a firmer ride in the front to eliminate nose dive and body roll when turning. I may ditch the rear spacers for Pair of Sway-A-Way Rear 1.5" Lift Coils if budget permits. Open to ideas too.

Tires
275/70/17 BFG K20

Front
OME ---884--- 2" lift standard coils
OR
Toytec/Eibach front coil lift springs

SPC Adjustable Upper Control Arms
Front height Adjustable 5100 Bilstein Shocks
Front Top Plate Spacer (One -1/4" thick spacer)

Rear
Toytec Rear 1.5" lift Black Spacers Poly
Bilstein 5100 Series Rear shocks

I put the wheelers t13 springs in the rear they gave about a .25 more lift than the daystar 1.5 I had and run pretty smooth.

my not use factory coils? the shocks almost eliminates the nose dive up front and you can get 2.5" out of it. I'd only go OME if I wanted to go higher keeping 5100s

I was original going to use factory springs. Then I kept reading do it right the first time comments. So I started reading more and more. So I was thinking I don't want to run the shocks at the 2.5" setting. I would like to get better front springs. But if someone has hands on with one of these setups and recommends not to upgrade the springs then all good.

Jumping into this thread as its what I've been searching for. Thx!

Im so happy to hear the new t13 gave you a .25" more lift then a true 1.5" spacer with a 2.5" lift up front. I will ask was that noted on flat ground though? I'm setting my 14' white sr5 premium up with the bilstein 5100s adjusted to 2.5 with the stock coils and then I was debating on the t12 coils or the new t13. I will be carrying about 250 lbs at times with my trials bike on the back with the carrier and I didn't want the front to be high with the new t13 springs. Wheelers said they should set me level with my front a 2.5" but I was concerned about being nose high.

So you agree with a couple to few hundred lbs in the back or on the hitch it shouldn't make the front really more noticeable higher?

Anyone else able to chime in on this as well? I'm sure someone else has stock springs with 5100s set at 2.5 and t13 jn the rear?

Did you put a .25 spacer on the driver side front to compensate for the fuel tank?

Thanks in advance!

On my 4th gen I ran stock springs with the 5100s and it was perfect. I don't think u need to buy new springs. The 5100s were designed to be used with the stock springs.

I'm going to try wheelers T1 2.5" front lift and T13 1.5" rear lift. Ill report back after install.

Are you running anything else like a roof rack, sliders, skids? I'm interested in the same sort of set up 2.5" front/1.5" rear and was wondering with about 300 lbs for the rack, sliders, and skids what spring rate I would need for front/rear. I was considering the T13 for the rear and Toytec/Eibach for the front or possibly OME 884. Just not sure if I need beefier springs with the added weight.

Don't leave out Dobinson springs. Many options and a reputation world wide. Dobinsons Mike will help you with any questions.

I got their 2.5" front and 2" rears, mated with 5100's.

Install day is set for next weekend, or I'd throw pictures up.

You going with new UCA's?

Not right off the bat. I'm going to see what magic my alignment guy can work and see if it's tolerable. I've driven a similar lift 5th gens on stock UCA's that honestly tracked no different than mine does stock. Time will tell. Every truck is different to a degree (no pun intended)

Im want to get a roof rack at some point. But for now all stock TEP. I do plan to get SS Hybrid Bumper down the road.

X2 here, Mike was super helpful and they have a lot of options to get what your after. Reputation, quality and customer service not to mention reliable and maintenance free was what I was after and it lead me to Dobinson. I've had adjustable coilovers in the past and spherical bearings is not something I personally wanted on a daily driver for my wife and kids.

Yes Ill be running jba upper control arms. Im out to correct the slope in the steering on the express way. And get my alignment correct.

Old thread I know, but did you ever finish the T1/T13 install?

I'm looking at the same with Bilsteins on all corners.
