Which is a far cry from going where "the big 4wd trucks" can go.
Whatever, rescuing people with your mindset gives said 4wd truck owners something to do.

The conception of what people consider offroading will be different between different people in different parts of the country. If it's not a paved road it's technically off the road... People take stock vehicles through some places people take monsters with 37's, and vice versa. It doesn't mean that you need 37's, sometimes it's way over kill. Just like you don't always need to use 4x4 in a lot of places where people would activate 4x4.
To lend some support to the Kego I've taken my 1st Gen 4runner up some steep rocky inclines, thinking I was in 4x4 but I hadn't locked the front hubs yet. I was following FJ's which were in 4x4 and had their rear diff locks on and the Atrac on. Some of them had issues, everyone made it but some had issues. I was essentially doing it in 2wd but with a welded rear. So sort of like 2wd with Atrac working hard. I had some issues, I was wondering why I was slipping and why I felt like I was plwing witht he front end, but it made. Needed more gas...
I've also done similar inclines with my 4th Gen V8 in 4HI, center diff lock NOT engaged. Still following those same FJ's with all their rear lockers on and Atrac button pushed on. Sometimes I like to do that, because I think we don't always need 4x4 or diff locks to get through and up and over.
Once you get some good momentum and are confident of your line and don't let go of the gas to loose the momentum it jsut goes most of the time. For the other times, 4x4 all lokced up and if I need to be pulled, well that's the name of the game.
True, that a 2WD won't go everywhere a 4WD might be able to, but you'd be surprised everywhere you can go without needing 4WD.

I think what he means to say is this: My truck gets me where I need to go refers to places where clearance is mainly the largest obstacle. It is def. true that a truck on huge tires will be able to drive over things others could not.
4wd is a totally different thing. There are times when the largest tire simple doesn't compare to more traction...
but anyway. This guy likes to rock "super hard" and there is nothing wrong with that. Alabama has tons of mud for him to rip up.
