Need new place to Order Toyota Parts

I posted this in the Steering Rebuilt thread, but I wanted to post this to a larger group. I just tried to order the 4 parts that's posted in that thread from Camelback Toyota. $65 worth of parts, but they want $45 in shipping to Alaska. I called them and asked if they could just throw them into a $7 Flat Rate Box (They did it before for me). Nope... Said they can't do it anymore. Only way to Alaska is FedEx 2 Day Air.

So I'll have to find another place to buy from. I just sent an inquiry to Toyota of Dallas. I've dealt with them years ago. Any other quality places to deal with down in the lower 48? I try not to deal with the Dealership up here in Anchorage.

Any suggestions would be great. $45 in shipping for 4 small items that all would fit in the palm of my hand is a bit too much.

Worst case if you can't find anything reasonable, see what their shipping to Modesto California is and if it's cheap enough for you, send them to me and I'll throw them in a USPS priority flat rate box and send them to you. You can just PayPal me the cost.

Obviously that's not ideal to pay shipping twice, but it still might be cheaper.

Priority mail is cheap and here in 3 days. Most everything I would get would only be $15 or less in shipping. Closer to $10...

I'll have to double check, but if there are a few things I can order, we can combine the order, ship here (CA) for free then I can stuff yours in a flat rate.

There's enough of us that on here that love spending money on our 4runners; there has to someone else that would be willing to combine the order so you both win.

If you're open to it I'll let you know if I can find a few things order.

Toyota of Dallas is great, I've dealt with both them and camelback and prefer Dallas but their website sucks and keeps crashing.

Try Lithia Toyota. They ship to Hawaii via USPS. I bought upper ball joints, bolts, and misc hoses/gaskets in March with a shipping cost around $16.00.

Shipping costs to Hawaii and Alaska are always ridiculous, especially when UPS and FEDEX are the only 2 shipping options.

I always try to get them to use Priority Mail. It's just as fast and much cheaper. I tried Dallas and their shipping came to $35. I emailed them and waiting on a response. If nothing, I'll try Lithia! Thanks for the info!

I am using Dallas as well, good service and no problems. I tried Camelback due to the great reviews here but they would not ship to a different address than what was on the credit card. I don't get that but oh well.

Yeah, I do like how Camelback has the free shipping though. I guess both of them are good. Dallas has a good website other than the crashing. I like how they keep the part numbers in the cart. Makes it a lot easier to keep track.

Just submitted an order with Dallas. Barbara respond and said they can and will ship USPS for me. Asked me to submit my order and they will refund the difference in shipping.

That's how you get and keep clients.
