Need NJ welder with 4Runner frame experience in New Jersey

I have owned a silver 2000 4Runner for most of its life but the back left mount bracket has now rusted off and I cannot drive the car. I had the right frame repaired about 3 years ago but that company does not do this work anymore. There is also a small rusted out hole on the front right frame.

Does anyone know a reliable welder in New Jersey with experience on the steel repair on 4Runner frames who will call me back? I believe this 4Runner is worth saving as the body is in good shape. It has 248k miles and an inspection sticker good for over another year.

The only other issue I know about is a slight leak in the back of the differential.

I have posted some photos including the frame, differential and shock mount which is hard to tell if there is too much rust.

Please let me know of any NJ welder, preferably north, who has experience with this frame work. You can also PM me. I need repair within a few weeks.

Also let me know if you believe there is too much rust to repair, plus the differential, and if so how best to sell the car.

There's a fellow in Linden that advertises frame repair on craigslist. He loves posting his work on the gram and it looks good.

Are you sure CL is best place to look for a welder?

I am still looking for a welder. The CL one can’t do it. I had someone else do right side but stopped doing this work.

I know the gas tank has to come out. I also know how elaborate the frame cutting is.

If anyone knows a certified welder in NJ w 4Runner experience please let me know.

Why can't he do it? Does he not want to pull the gas tank? That might be an issue with lots of places. You might have to pay a mechanic to pull the tank then get it welded.

Looking at the pictures - that 4Runner reached the end of it's life. It's time to look for another one. That is not repairable damage without a new frame. No welder anywhere will touch that after seeing what it looks like. If they do - they're not a welder.

In response to the gas tank question, they had never done that before plus they do not have a lift. Good point on removing tank separately though.

After looking at those photos, I would think it is time to get a new 4 Runner.

Didn't even open the pics tbh. That said this sounds costly once you factor in gas tank removal. May just want to use this as a donor for a nicer 4Runner.
