Need opinions on rims

Heres what I thought I was ordering . . .

I really dont think I like them that much. Theyre ok but. . . I'm not sure. I found a set of Enkei RT6's that I like but I really dont feel like buyin another set of wheels just to be disappointed again. What do you guys think? I'm not a fan of factory wheels so putting the stock wheels back on isnt an option.

I'm also debating on wether or not to flip the tires so the white letters are in. The stock wheels had the whites out and I liked them but I dont think they work with black wheels.

I'm open the any questions, concerns, comments, suggestions, whatever. Fire away.

Get the enkeis, and keep the white letters out. Not a huge fan of black wheels to begin with, especially on lighter vehicles...I just think the wheels and tires always look dirty. But then again, its your truck, do what you like.

Yea, that was pretty much what I was thinkin. Just wanted to see what others thought about the look. Or maybe some one would suggest some awesome wheels I've never seen before.

The Enkie's are okay. Not sure they'll look right on your particular runner though. I personally like the factory wheels a lot. If you don't like the split spokes, find a used set of 5 stars.

I actually think the black rims look great but if you do keep them, you should definitely mount them with the OWL facing in and black walls out - it looks too busy otherwise. Personally not a fan of those Enkeis as they look too 'car' like for my taste.

I'm OK with "car like" wheels. I dont really need any beefy lookin off-road wheels since I wont take this thing off-roading much. Its just too clean. Idk yet.

I'm with you on the wheels...I am still deciding which ones to get. I found a bunch that are similar to the Enkei you have, but probably cheaper.

I think the silver wheels look "clean" on 4Runners...especially lighter ones.

Those black rhinos are pretty cool. Havent seen those yet. I've been looking at the method wheels for a little while but I'm having a hell of a time trying to find an accurate picture of them in the size and offset I want. I want that deep lip which is the reason I got my black wheels in a 17x9 with a -12 offset. I was sadly deceived tho. I can get a set of the Enkeis in a 17x8 with a 0 offset for $600.

Check 4wheelparts.com for the Methods. I know they make a set that fit our runners and they sell them.

i think a solid black on your runner would look good! i have xd monsters and i love the look. i had a black and machined wheel similar to the ones you have. im for sure digging my solid black. heres a pic of the old and the new wheels

Those Enkei's will look slick! I think those are the best ones in here so far.

I am a bit biased, but I think the Split Spoke Tundras look good in black, with the chrome lugs.

I really like how well they fill out the wheel wells as well. That's a lot of well.

OP, learning to photoshop will save you a bunch of cash. Also you can always ask the community to do it for you next time

Mine should have been plenty deep enough. Being 17x9 with a -12 offset, the face of my rims should have been more concave from the lip to the center but for whatever reason they actually come out just a little. I have extended lugnuts that are almost 2" long and you cant see them at all, they're that far into the wheel. If the center of my rims was pushed in 3" further I dont think I would be as disappointed as I am.

See now, I like that black rims on your Runner. I think my chrome bumpers are killing it for black wheels for me tho.
