Whats up everyone, i have had this one problem with the 4runner since i bought it 3 months ago and cant seem to find any answers...i have searched and read through countless different forum threads...cant seem to find anything like the problem i have..
2008 4runner V6 sport 109,000 miles bought with 107,000
the issue i am having is a slight vibrating/buzzing sensation in the gas pedal during acceleration....its the worst when the RPM is low around 1100-1300 and the speed is around 40mph...when i step on the pedal the entire truck feels like its shuddering/struggling to accelerate....the pedal always has a sensation during any speed but it less noticibale with highway driving unless its under heavy load accelerating....any time i hit WOT from a stop or any speed, the entire truck feels like its having a really hard time getting up to speed....if i am coasting at any speed and put into Neutral and rev slightly there is no sensation in gas pedal, it feels normal....Only happens when in Drive...engine revs normally and sounds good when in park..
its really hard for me to explain it...but that pretty much sums it up...the truck doesn't have the best service records so i dont know if the transmission fluid has ever been flushed/changed....i thought maybe it could be the U joints but if it was wouldn't it get worse with speed?, there is no vibration at all in the steering wheel.. so it cant be the tires...tires are brand new also.
Any help would be great because i really love this T4R but this is driving me nuts!! even passengers comment on it and notice it...they say they can feel the vibrating in the floorboards...
I drove a co workers 2005 4runner SR5 V6 with 189,000 and it was nothing like mine...it accelerated fine with no binding/vibrations...
Thank you everyone for any advice
