need spring adevice for icon suspension

I'm going to take advantage of the 20% ICON suspension sell. Front 2.5 adj coilovers and rear 2.5 w/ res. ICON does not make the rear springs for our 4runners. They suggest an OEM spring.

My goal with this lift is to only gain 2". I would also like a little rake but that is not too important. I'm weighted down in the rear with a full size spare on the oem 5 star rim and a rear tire swingout which I have netted 65 lbs. Debating on adding a sleeping platform.

Any spring suggestions,

look into ome 891. that gives a normal 4runner about 3".
i have a rear bumper with tire and gas. my 891s are a lil less than i want so i just got 861. and will put them on thursday. they should put me around 3-4" with the weight i have.

Is that one the 2891 spring? Nice build thread. Will have to rear though it.

I have 890's on mine and they do just fine.

I also have front/rear icon 2.5s, a savage rear bumper with spare tire swing out and I think its more than enough since thats mostly all I carry in the rear. If anything I think theyre a little too stiff on the road small bumps but do perfect out on the dunes.

I'm still confuesed. Went to arb web site and they are saying the 906 is the 330 lb spring. You guys are calling it the 890.

The 906 and 890 I believe are both 330lb springs. However, the 906 is said to give 2" of lift, while the 890 gives 3". With your added weight, and possibly adding more, I don't think the 906 is an option. The 890 may be perfect, sagging a bit and give your desired 2" of lift.

The 891 is for 3" of lift, with heavier load capacity. I forget the exact number, however.

There are other options, but they're not as easily identified. I know a few folks are running Icon springs for 4th Gens, for example.

Yeah I'm confused on the arb springs as well. The 4runner application guide from their website says that the 890 is a 2" medium load spring while the 906 is a 2" heavy load spring. This is contrary to what folks are saying on here, so I'm not sure what's up.

I'm pretty sure Icon does make a rear spring for the 3rd gen. I e-mailed them once trying to get a part number but they never responded to my e-mail (that makes two in a row now :hurt: )
However, I am almost positive Jed at Armorology put Icon rear coils on a 3rd gen that he was working on. I'll ask him if he knows the part number.

Glad I'm not the only confused one. What also adds onto my confusion is that my 1998 4runner stock hight is different from a 2000. Hard to judge how much lift I will really get.

I called ( for some reason Icon does not return emails?) Asking for their whole line up for the 3rd gen. No spring so they recommend the OEM springs...

I was wrong. They were not Icon coils. He used the OME mediums.
