need tire help

i need some good tire suggestions. not sure if i am getting used ones off craigslist like my last set or buying new. i have an old 15" set of rims off my old 87 4Runner and figures i would use those. i want something in the 33" area, i like that with what i have now they fit in the wheel wells. i also need more of a mud tire and not just off road because i deal with mud more and dont ahve many places to really trail wheel.

i dont think you are gonna be able to fit a 15" wheel. as far as a good mud tire, the bighorns are a good choice and are on the less spendy side so thats a plus.

yeup, unless your 4runner came with 15 wheels from the factory they wont fit. some 15s do fit, but most wont. it all depends on the offset and the wheel itself

Toss one on and see if they clear. The front brakes on some 4runners have larger calipers and 15" wheels won't fit.

ok so the doors says stock was 15x7J, so 15", had 16" 5 stars when i got it, and now has 17" MM. so 15" should work just fine. back to that plan and need those tires.

They all say 15's on the door jamb sticker. Mine says it too but it came with 16's and has the bigger brakes. Since your's came with the 5 stars, i bet you have the bigger brakes

i just ran into this problem with a set of 15" soft 8's. all i need is a 1/4" more space so my plan is to get 1/4" spacers with longer wheel studs. i have napa part #'s for the longer studs if you need em.
