Need to fit 35" BF Krawlers!!!

Hey guys, I'm new on here and new to 4runners. I just picked up a 1993 4Runner 3.0 5spd. It's all stock and doesn't seem to sag in the back. I just acquired 4 35x13.5x15 BFGoodrich Krawler Tires on 15x10 Aluminum wheels, not quite sure of the backspacing, I think 4" maybe? Anyways, I need to fit them and don't have much money right now. I was thinking about a 3inch body lift and balljoint spacers with coilspacers in back. Would this be enough to fit them, or will I need to trim alot? I know I'll need to take care of the front seam, but will I need more? Thanks Nathan,

I'd be more concerned about your stock gearing's ability to move with 35's. With stock gearing you will have very little power.

yup stock gears wont push the 35s.
plus youll need a 4inch full suspension lift to clear those tires!!!!

always research before you buy!

They should fit with a 3"body and BJ spacers.... Thats about 5"of lift

Around town or int he woods will be fine with the stock gears, but long hills and highways are going to slow you down...

Stock gears will push 35's, cause im doin it. However as stated power goes right down the drain. You wont be able to enjoy those 35's to their potential until you get a re-gear as well. It sucks going wheeling with your buddies and having to take the bunny trails all day because your rig doesnt have what it takes to
make it on the others. So if you plan on doing any wheeling in it with 35's you will most definately need to gear it. Hope to get mine done really soon

Oh and yeah as stated a 4 inch suspension lift will most likely be needed. Thats what im runnin with my 35's and its still a little tight but it does ok. Havent had any rubbing issues yet

haha ya.... ok... i can run 35's (i did it last summer for fun) with bj spacers, and a coil spring rear lift. they rubbed once under full turn.

you dont need any lift to run 35's. of course it will def help alot. the bj's and bl will be way more than enough. good luck!

Well the tires I got in a trade, and there like $1,700 bucks so I made a good deal. I plan on running much lower gears in the future and many other things too I put one of the tires on the front just to see how they looked, they fit but couldn't turn far. What surprised me was, I put on the 36x12.5x15 tsl spare he gave me and it fit and I could turn the tires pretty far! I took pictures and will put them on tonight. You guys will like them

The other ? I have is, sometimes when I start out from a stop in 1st gear especially when turning, the truck jolts like 4x4 do when turning full lock in 4wheeldrive? This is when the truck is in 2wd and not at full lock? Could It have lockers in it or something? Let me know what you think. Thanks Nathan,

OK, a 35x13.5x15 is a lot of tire to fit under your truck.
Not just the 35" height that will rub you of power, but the 13.5" width is going to rub a lot, everywhere..
If you definitely must have them, the BL/BJ spacer idea is a good starting point.
But you will need to get some $ together to regear your diffs, because turning that big a tire will really be hard on a stock drive train.

ok you can do whatever you want to your vehicles but doing it right is what i do, so in my opinion do it right. gears and lift if not then in the words of Gordan Freeman "NO, YOUR DOING IT WRONG" from episodes Freemen's Mind a half life tale. LOL

its all ok if you run them but dont be mad when your MPG is 10 gallons a mile...lol
