Need to quiet my magnaflow catback

I've been running my magnaflow for 4 years. This past weekend I bought a boat that is 5500 pounds on trailer and towed it for 2 hours on the highway in 4th gear/2500rpm. The drone was killing me. Time for a quieter muffler. Anyone know of a good replacement? I know it's 2.5" in/out, but it has prongs on it for the stock rubber mounts- Is there a quieter version?

Based on this picture- I'm thinking I can get a walker quiet flow stock replacement, and chop the back of it off and weld or slip fit to my magnaflow tail pipe.

Get this resonator...you will be surprised the changes it will make....i have 2 of them and my 18in magnaflow split. Sounds great and awesome under WOT. Of course for me its a bit louder than most cuz im S/C'd. But i love it.... Took me awhile to get it where i wanted it.
 
That looks like a resonator on your old tailpipe near the tip. I was riding in a buddy's car and the resonance was deafening inside with his Flowmaster 40 series, I think adding a resonator would help!
 
Well I'm going with the stock sized Walker quiet flow muffler ($113 w/ free shipping) and try mating it to my magnaflow tail pipe. If that fails, I could get the walker tail pipe with resonator for another $53. But I loose my backup light if I go back to a rear exit exhaust. I'll report my findings.
 
keep in mind if you need to weld it, the magnaflow is stainless steel and the walker is mild steel. Yes it can be done, just don't expect pretty beads.

This is of course if you use the wrong filler metal. And gasless flux core wire. lol.
