Well, I haven't posted in a while, I have been busy buying my first home and moving in and stuff like that. Everything was going great until I got home last night and found out my dog was in the animal hospital (she will be fine now) and I woke up this morning to my car being broke into. I lost my two memphis 12's and a 1000 watt memphis amp and my pride. I feel like crap, I feel violated, I wish I could find whoever did this and run them over with my 4runner.... a few times. I am mad and just needed to vent. I think that theives are the scum of the earth and that you cannot get any lower than that. And to top everything off, I called the police at 630 AM and it is now 11:30AM and they have still not shown up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that this might be high priority right now, but come on. Man that sucks, sorry to hear about that, hope your insurance comes through and takes care of the damage and lost goods. Install a flood light with a motion detector above your garage door that shines bright on your driveway. Anythig to deter the theif will help. No one is gonna break into your car if a bright shining light is on them for the neighborhood to see. The lights run about $30 or so depending on the model.

you have Rear tinted windows right?.....someone in your housing development knew you had something nice in the back of there and helped themselves to it.
Start putting it in that big garage or get an alarm.

Yeah, I am in the process of putting in a motion detector light, getting a better alarm, and moving my boat out of the garage so that I can park in there. As for catching who did it, that will probably never happen. I could only be so lucky to run into the person who did this, it would not be pretty!

they might have used a spark plug to break your window. thats what i think happened when someone took my stereo from my del sol. I wish they would have told me because that stereo was only worth 20 bucks while the window being replaced was 250. what made it even worse is the ass hole hopped our front gate to do it.

If my dogs ever mysteriously fall ill and need to stay at animal hospital, move cars into garage, leave a garage door open, and camp out with gun in view of garage. :cannon: (I suppose I COULD use a camera to get them caught, but that wouldn't deter them much. It's not about the vehicles, if you mess with my pets, you WILL pay.)
Actually, I would probably hang out with a gun, but only chase them away, and not even show the gun unless they show a weapon and a willingness to attack me.

I feel your pain man. Nothing is worse than fixing up your pride and joy just to have some low life come around and destroy it. I cannot believe your alarm didn't go off. It makes me wonder about the oem alarm system on my 4Runner... Hope you get it all taken care of soon.
Well, some things are finally looking up! I got my window fixed for free and I am the process of seeing if I can get back everything on my stereo equipment. And as far as my dog, Petsmart is paying all of the animal hospital bills (a whole different story). It still just sucks to have something done to you for no reason. I realize that my rims and stuff help my vehicle stick out like a sore thumb, but why do people try to bring other people down, it just sucks. Oh well, I appreciate all the 4runner support you guys have given me. Thanks
hey I feel for you... I lived in Hawaii for over 20 years and I had a Honda that in 6 months was broken into 6 times and stolen twice. Hawaii is the worst state for auto theft and it really grinds my gears. My GF's sister just moved there and within a week her tacoma was broken into, window smashed in, and all of her gear was stolen.
As a guy that can emphasize with your loss and big time fustration the best advise I can give you is the one my insurance agent gave me and that was, "the best tool against car thieves is full coverage auto insurance."
Im telling ya, they'll go right through an alarm, kill switch, dog, cat whatever. If they want your car bad enough they can just tow it away. I hope there is a special place in hell for people who steal.
