Network help

I ran CAT5 lines back in 2007 to wall jacks for the family to use. Now the furthest is knocking my wife off line. I tried a new jack and patch cord, no luck. It was almost just as easy to run a new line out to this bedroom, 63 is getting old to be a tunnel rat.
So new jacks on both ends, (gave up trying to make a plug end at the router) and tested patch cords. still no signal. My cheap RJ Network Tester shows good comm I think. I ran short on this office and it is also working on jacks on both ends and patch cords. I have a wife screaming at me and I can't troubleshoot this any further. A big Fluke Network tester might show something, my old 87 III can't do much here. any ideas?????

well, taking my laptop on Network page showing no connections to another jack and watching how fast it show the working Network, I really didn't think to reboot the router at all. that was all it took. fun times. glass of wine now?

I did find a nice pair of Klein cutters under my house, too bad my tech number was on them. for all of you attic rats, all kinds of tools left in attics.

OK, my wife still gets knocked off line when on Google search. Everything has been replaced on her line, she is on a newer Win10 Lappy. Back to searching reviews on this Linksys, $$ to replace it. fun times.

So to confirm, you have the different lines run straight to the router, or through a network switch first?
It sounds like that port on the router/switch is going bad. Any free ports you can test on?
Is it ONLY Google killing her connection?

Sorry, been a while. Replaced the router with a 'EdgeRouter-X (all hard wire). Next the wife didn't ask for Wifi for her phone, so I let that go for a while. My brother in law gifted me a Fire TV Stick, so back to needing Wifi. I grabbed a TP-Link WiFi Point. Plugs into a free router port, same speed on line. The Amazon TV Stick, I can't saw enough good things about it.
