Toyota will only fix something if it is total failure of a part. They don't fix anything under warranty based on opinion or preference of the customer.

You should make sure someone from your stealership read this thread (be it the Manager). You can also report them to the Better Business Bureau. Who knows, maybe you're not the only one who had the same experience with this stealer.
I remember several years ago in Hawaii, someone wasn't happy on their purchase of a vehicle from one of the stealership. He placed a banner on his car and drove it around like he normally would. The banner read someting like "do not buy cars from (name of) dealership". After several days, the stealership got the word and made some deal with the guy that made him take down the banner.
You don't have to go to the same extreme, but there are other ways to have your stealership think twice about them doing their business. Nobody deserves the treatment you got.

WOW! Someone did just that in their red LX470. When I was leaving the Taste of Lexus event in Nov., there was a LX470 with what looked graffiti scrawled all over it. It said "poor paint," "bad customer service," "don't buy a Lexus," etc. all over the sides of it. I can see why it has paint issues.

Anyhow, cyclops24 I'm glad you got your problem resolved.

Wait until you start having random squeaks and a seat that creaks around every turn. You just get used to it because the dealer always stated 'could not duplicate' every time I took it in. Thankfully, most of the squeaks and creaks have subsided over time.

An American brand would just replace items until the problem was not present anymore, probably why they are all going bankrupt.

I eventually sold my '02 Sport because the dealer never could identify and fix an irritating idle problem I had.

Well I couldn't be happier now with my 4Runner. But I am jacked at the stealership and Toyota. More than enough people have heard of my "experience".

On a lighter note, the guy that did the alignment loved the 4Runner. He said he couldn't get over how well it rode and how quiet it was. He has a RAV4 and said that it was a shit box compared to my vehicle and he said he would hope so since mine cost near twice as much. He went on to say out of all the SUVs he's driven he believes my 4Runner is the nicest one. He said it felt like more of a luxury vehicle than a SUV. He even had to tell the next guy that came in how nice it was. I went on to find out the guy he was raving to owns a musclecar dealership. www.sportscargallery.com I am in absolute love with that 70 Challenger on there. He had brought a 70 Chevelle SS396 in to be aligned when I was there. I was drooling over it.

You would of liked some of my old cars. Back in 1971, when I got out of the USMC, I bought a 1969 Chevelle SS 396 (375hp) had the 3 dueces, it had power brakes but no power steering. You really had to muscle up on it when you downshifted taking a corner. Also had a 1967 Camero convertable RS, but it got totaled.

How does this happen?

Did you drive this truck before you bought it? Why would you take delivery of a truck with a problem like this?

I drove it when it was dark out and in the city of Pittsburgh. It wasn't noticeable until I drove it for awhile and got be on the interstate. I never had an issue where the alignment was out on a new car. Oh well, it is fixed now and it drives better than ever.

I love musclecars. I am just waiting until I can get my dad's 69 Road Runner 383 Torqueflight matching numbers. Red w/black hood stripes. Hoepfully he will get tired of it and sell it to me.
