It had 1 mile on it when we picked it up. We had to drive it home before we could get to the camera though!

And the one you've been waiting for, the spoiler. Unfortunately it's dirty already from some light rain this week, and that really shows up in this photo.

Thanks emyhre. Those pictures answered all of my questions. It doesn't look like they made any changes to the interior. It looks great. Good luck with it.

Boy the engine compartment is so shiny. And only 16 miles on the odometer. :awais:

On the chrome grill, will all models have that or just the Sr5's? I am not sure if it looks better with the chrome grill or the painted one. Either way, it looks real sharp. Thanks for the pics. :artist:

How nice. At first I didn't think I was going to like the 4th Gens because of the square fenders, but I've gotten where I really like them.

Great color.

i am thinking about a gray mica... but is it just me, or does it kinda change colors in different lights. I see all these pictures of gray ones on dealership websites, and sometimes tehy like purple, sometimes tehy look gray blue, adn then other times they just look regular dark gray...

am i just looking at crappy pictures?

So cosmetically what is different from the 04 4runners other than the chrome front?

Not much-- you might notice the spoiler is different too.

Most of the other differences are under the hood (VVT-i and 5 speed tranny).

Incidentally, I'm thinking I probably have the highest-milage '05 out there right now: 1700 miles already! It's only 3 weeks old.

No you are absolutely right. The grey paint has flecks of blue, I think it may actually have flecks of both the Pacific Blue and the Stratosphere Mica as some blue flecks look lighter than others.

But you're right on, you can really tell when looking at the paint close up.

However, it's not like one of these cars that changes shades in different light-- it pretty much always looks grey, but you might not be crazy if you see a tint of bluish purple when looking closely.

Note that the grey is lighter than other manufacturer's grey-- GM for instance is quite a bit darker shade of 'charcoal' where as the Toyota is more of a neutral grey. Helps keep it looking more clean, IMO.

Pictures always make a Thread more interesting!!

Someone said that he likes the '04 spoiler, but he said the '05 one is more functional...because it keeps the rear glass dry when driving in the rain.

I love how the spoiler keeps my rear glass clear in the rain.
