Hi, I'm up here in Edmonton Alberta, and just completed the deal on my new Limited Grey. I have to work a few days and then I'm off to pick it up. The dealer is being extra nice and covering the front with 3M, and installing Blizzaks. (I see some controversy over the 3M, but as a previous NON-3M user in Edmonton, I guarantee you WANT/NEED it here).

Looking forward to getting to know everybody! And showing some pics of snow fun.

Congrats and welcome to T4R.org. I'm pretty sure you already know about the 5th gen sub-forum.

I've heard of Aeroshield, but they may've been acquired by 3M as well. I don't see too many here with the clear film/bra on their 4Runners. Check out ClubLexus, there are Lexus owners there who have the clear film/bra applied on their vehicles.

Welcome Aboard!

Just up the road from you in Grande Prairie.

I'm jealous. We've only had one 5th gen at our dealer so far and the owner of the dealer conveniently kept it for himself so we've yet to see one in person. He took it home before anyone got to see it. Can't wait to get an eyeful when one's available for the rest of us...

As for the film I completely agree, I was skeptical about the idea but I picked up an 04 last year from Edmonton that had it installed already. I got to say I'm sure it's made a good difference on keeping the front in good shape.

Congrats on the new truck, and like CJ3Flyr says, post up the pics when you get her!

You bet, I'll push pics faster than Tiger can hunt down a blonde woman. 6 sleeps and it will be mine.

Just got back from AMA with my In-transit certificate. Better not forget that puppy. I'd hate to fly to Saskatoon and have no way of getting back :(

4 sleeps. I had a good laugh when I drove by all the Edmonton toyota dealers. And I quote "We will not devalue a 2010 4Runner by giving you a deal"....

so u got limited 4wd of 2wd?? and what are your plans for it?? if 4wd are you going to take off the 20's and lift it and put some AT/MT???? i cant wait to see yours. congrats man!

LOL.

now 1 sleep.

And to the previous post, It's 4wd, 20 inch Blizzaks. I'll try those out first before I make any changes. I am under the impression that I can't lift it (the Limited) due to the standard XREAS, which I'm not willing to remove. I'm sure we'll find some workaround.
Once I figure out how to post photos, I'll put some up in about 48 hours. Tons of snow here so we'll see what kind of trouble I can get into/out of.

you can with the toyteec spacer lift.... its XREAS compatible i do believe.... there are also other lifts out there that i am pretty sure are compatible with the XREAS

well, sir, you just made my day, if that's true :) Thanks. I'll look it up when I get the chance.

I already have Toytec 2 inch lift front spacers and I have X-REAS on my Limited. I put them in myself using spring compressors in the wheel well as I did'nt want to disconnect the hydraulic lines. I read that you can disconnect them if all 4 wheels are in the air but you have to know where to disconnect them as there are check valves. They cannot be serviced, so if you disconnect at the wrong place they are trashed.

2 local 4x4 shops were scared and would'nt do it so I did it myself the hard but safe way. By not disconnecting the hydraulics and working in the wheel well. It was not alot of fun!

Ive accepted nearly all design changes except for that HUGE front window. However, if you tint it, it doesnt stand out nearly as much.

Nice
