New 2017 4R coming soon! And some history

Put money down on my 6th 4Runner today! A Barcelona red 2017 limited. They are locating one as we speak.

Couldn't live with my 2016 Acura MDX any longer.

Interesting tidbit while I was at the dealer(Toyota of Brookfield WI). Apparently the previous owner (jack Safro) may have helped design the original precursor to the original 1st gen 4Runner.

I bought a 1984 4Runner off the showroom floor because I had seen a Trekker on one of the car tv shows that used to come on on Saturday afternoon, back when we had only three channels lol. If you guys seach, there is a guy who has built the original Trekker back to showroom condition with a few improvements. Its amazing and i think it is in the 1st gen forum.

MDX's are great cars if you don't go off pavement, just curious as to what you didn't like about it? Congratulations on the new purchase, I love my 4Runner but the MDX kicks its ass on the pavement.

Guy I know around here has a trekker. He wheels the crap out of it, but it still runs and I think it has the original motor. He no longer has the top on it, but here is a pic of it when it still did....

It is a nice SUV but the 9spd tranny is horrible and the infotainment is a bit glitchy. Mainly I miss the "truck" aspect of my 4r's. I should have never switched. Plus the wife has a GS350 F sport which satisfies us from a handling perspective.

hahah, we have 2016 GS F sport as well and I'm waiting for my 2017 Cement Pro to arrive next thursday!
